Help us win in Trusted Physical AI
Physical AI is changing how vehicles, factories, robots, homes and devices sense, think and act. As intelligence moves into the physical world, one question becomes critical: How do we make Physical AI trustworthy? At NXP, we believe trust will be fundamental to this next era of technology. And China will be one of the places where that future is invented, built and scaled.
We are looking for a Director of Marketing & Communications, based in Shanghai, China who wants to help shape that future.
This is not a traditional regional MarCom role.
We are looking for a reformer, builder and catalyst, based in Shanghai, China. Someone who challenges established thinking, turns ideas into action, activates ecosystems and makes developers excited to design with NXP. Your mission: Help NXP win in China and make Trusted Physical AI a movement people want to be part of. You would report to the Global VP of Marketing & Communications in Hamburg, Germany and be part of a global team of talent.
What you will do
· Shape the China narrative for Trusted Physical AI. Turn NXP's technology and expertise into a compelling, differentiated story for China.
· Win developers' hearts and minds. Create new ways for developers and innovators to discover, experience and build with NXP.
· Activate the Physical AI ecosystem. Connect customers, developers, universities, start-ups, technology partners, distributors, influencers and other communities around NXP.
· Put China at the center. Bring China market insights, emerging technologies, platforms and behaviors into NXP and use them to influence how we think and act globally.
· Turn ideas into action. Experiment with new channels, partnerships, content and experiences. Learn quickly, scale what works and challenge what doesn't.
· Build a modern Marketing & Communications organization. Lead and develop the China team while evolving capabilities and ways of working for an AI-first world.
· Drive measurable business impact. Partner closely with Greater China business and sales leadership and connect marketing and communications to NXP's growth ambitions.
The role is based in Shanghai and leads NXP's China Marketing & Communications team, working closely with Greater China business and sales leadership.
Who we are looking for
We value experience, but even more importantly, we are looking for a different kind of thinker. Someone who is:
· A reformer: willing to challenge conventions and rethink how things are done.
· A doer: able to turn strategy into visible action and results.
· A connector: energized by bringing together people, technologies and communities.
· China-first and globally minded: deeply connected to China while comfortable influencing a global organization.
· Technology curious: excited by AI, emerging technology and new ways of reaching technical audiences.
· Experienced, but still curious: confident enough to lead and humble enough to keep learning.
· Bold: comfortable pushing beyond organizational and functional barriers to get things done.
What you bring
· Significant leadership experience in technology marketing, communications, digital, ecosystems, brand or a related field
· A track record of changing and building, not simply managing
· Strong knowledge of China's technology, digital and innovation landscape
· The ability to translate complex technology into compelling narratives and experiences
· Experience engaging senior executives as well as external communities, including customers, developers, partners, media and influencers
· Strong strategic thinking combined with a bias for action
· Ability to navigate a complex global organization while moving at China speed
· Excellent English communication skills
The opportunity
We are not looking for someone to simply run the existing playbook.
We are looking for someone who wants to help rewrite it.
If you see the trusted physical AI transformation happening across AI and China and think "I want to shape this, not watch it happen," we should talk.
