What You Will Do

  • Support released CDU products throughout their lifecycle, ensuring continued performance, quality, reliability, and manufacturability.
  • Investigate product, manufacturing, supplier, and field issues; perform root cause analysis and implement corrective actions.
  • Create and implement Engineering Change Requests (ECRs) and Engineering Change Notices (ECNs) to support product improvements, component changes, and issue resolution.
  • Provide day-to-day engineering support to Manufacturing, Quality, Supply Chain, and Service teams.
  • Support resolution of production issues related to assembly, testing, quality, and component availability.
  • Identify and qualify alternate components to address obsolescence, supply constraints, and cost reduction opportunities.
  • Perform engineering calculations, tolerance analysis, reliability assessments, engineering evaluations, and root cause investigations.
  • Develop, execute, and document engineering validation testing to verify product performance and design changes.
  • Identify and drive value analysis/value engineering (VAVE) opportunities.
  • Create, review, and maintain engineering documentation including drawings, bills of materials, specifications, test reports, and work instructions.
  • Collaborate with suppliers to resolve technical issues and support component qualification activities.
  • Participate in design reviews, failure reviews, FMEA activities, and corrective action investigations.
  • Provide technical support for customer meetings, field investigations, factory testing, and product deployments as required.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related technical discipline.
  • Must have a Professional Engineer (P.Eng.) designation or eligibility to obtain it within 6 months.
  • 3-7 years of mechanical engineering experience in product development, sustaining engineering, manufacturing engineering, or a related field.
  • Experience supporting production products and resolving technical issues in a manufacturing environment.
  • Experience creating and implementing Engineering Change Requests (ECRs) and Engineering Change Notices (ECNs).
  • Experience conducting root cause investigations and implementing corrective actions.
  • Experience working collaboratively with suppliers, manufacturing, quality, and supply chain teams.
  • Demonstrated experience with stainless steel and aluminum fabrication and welding techniques.
  • Strong understanding of design for manufacturability (DFM), design for assembly (DFA), and design for serviceability (DFS) principles.
  • Interest in working in a fast-paced and innovative technology environment.
  • Legally eligible to work in Canada.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with thermal analysis, Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD), structural Finite Element Analysis (FEA), and Design Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (dFMEA).
  • Demonstrated experience with pump, heat exchanger, and valve selection and verification.
  • Familiarity with Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T).
  • Experience using SolidWorks PDM and Arena PLM.
  • Knowledge of data center cooling technologies and strategies.
