We are hiring for Patient Services Specialist position at Providence Seward Medical Center in Seward, AK!

Position is full time, 1.0 FTE, Day Shift, 40 hours per week.

Pre-Registers and registers patients presenting at the hospital for inpatient and outpatient services. Conducts patient/guarantor interviews, explains hospital policies, as well as explains patient financial responsibilities. Facilitates the patient admissions flow, including activities such as patient identification, identification of accurate demographics and insurance information, and collection of required signatures and documents. Provides information and answers questions regarding Providence's financial assistance programs. Ensures account is financially secured prior to patient leaving registration area.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • 1 year of Registration, insurance or medical office experience.
  • 1 year of Customer service or similar job-related experience.

Posted are the minimum and the maximum wage rates on the wage range for this position. The successful candidate's placement on the wage range for this position will be determined based upon relevant job experience and other applicable factors. These amounts are the base pay range; additional compensation may be available for this role, such as shift differentials, standby/on-call, overtime, premiums, extra shift incentives, or bonus opportunities.
