RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Independently plan and execute fixed asset insurance appraisal, inventory, reconciliation, and due diligence engagements from kickoff through final deliverables, aligning work with the agreed scope, schedule, budget, and quality standards.

  • Serve as a day-to-day client contact in coordination with US-based Project Managers, leading kickoff, status, data-request, and issue-resolution discussions and communicating progress, risks, and recommendations clearly.

  • Perform and review real and personal property valuation analyses, including cost trending, asset categorization, data normalization, and reconciliation, ensuring that methods, assumptions, and conclusions are technically sound and supportable.

  • Direct remote data collection and analyze client records, images, drawings, and supporting documents; identify information gaps and develop practical approaches to complete the engagement efficiently.

  • Prepare and review client-ready workpapers, schedules, findings, and reports, maintaining precise, clear, and audit-ready documentation in accordance with Kroll policies and professional standards.

  • Manage assigned workstreams and junior staff by delegating tasks, monitoring progress, reviewing work, and providing timely coaching and technical training to support quality and development.

  • Apply advanced proficiency in proprietary software, asset management databases, valuation tools, Microsoft Excel, Teams, and SharePoint; promote consistent methodologies, quality controls, and process improvements.

  • Collaborate effectively across time zones, proactively escalate issues, and support engagement scoping, fee estimates, proposals, and other analytical or administrative activities required for successful project delivery.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering (industrial or civil preferred), architecture, accounting, business administration, or another field relevant to valuation consulting.

  • Approximately four to six years of experience in fixed asset valuation, property insurance appraisal, asset inventory and reconciliation, engineering consulting, or a related field, with demonstrated ability to execute substantial workstreams or engagements independently.

  • Strong working knowledge of building construction, plants and machinery, infrastructure assets, and fixed asset valuation concepts, including cost approaches and cost trending.

  • Demonstrated project management skills, including defining work plans, managing scope and schedules, coordinating data requests, balancing multiple priorities, and delivering high-quality work under deadlines.

  • Fluency in English and Spanish, both written and verbal, is required, with the ability to lead professional client and team communications in English.

  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and strong proficiency in Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint; experience with asset management databases, valuation software, or data analysis tools is preferred.

  • Excellent analytical judgment, attention to detail, and technical writing skills, with the ability to review work, identify issues, and produce clear, supportable conclusions and client-ready deliverables.

  • Strong interpersonal, leadership, and coaching skills, with cultural awareness and professionalism when training junior staff and working in a cross-border, virtual team environment.

  • Must be based in the Mexico City area and available during core US business hours with Eastern and Central time zone overlap; travel within Mexico, the United States, and Latin America is expected based on engagement needs.

ADDITIONAL CONSIDERATIONS FOR OFFSHORE ROLE:

  • The role will be integrated into a hybrid offshore team model; the Senior Associate is expected to take ownership of assigned engagements, lead remote execution, and operate effectively with limited in-person supervision.

  • Strong self-motivation, sound judgment, initiative, and disciplined communication are critical to balancing priorities, resolving issues, and escalating risks appropriately from a distance.
