Job Summary
Work Schedule: ~10 hours per week (per diem)SUMMARY OF MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES
This individual will work closely with Dr. Lyons and the research team in the Cancer Rehabilitation (CaRe) Lab, delivering individual sessions in a multi-site study of a telehealth intervention to maximize functional recovery after breast cancer treatment. Interventionists need to complete and maintain human subjects protection and good clinical practice training. Interventionists will be trained to deliver the intervention components we are testing in the study including cancer survivorship education, goal-setting and problem-solving and priority elicitation, while adhering to the study’s protocol. Study participants are allowed to decide whether to engage in the sessions via telephone or videoconference, so interventionists need to be comfortable with both modes of delivery. Interventionists will document the timing and content of sessions within a REDCap database built for the study. The project manager will assign participants to the interventionists that best match their preferences for timing and availability; flexibility in working hours is preferred. The position is designed for remote work and interventionists must have access to a private space in which to complete the sessions. The position is ideally suited for an occupational therapist, nurse, or other clinical specialist who is interested in gaining research experience within an NIH-funded, multi-site research project.
