Zensar Technologies Limited is seeking a highly skilled Senior Java Engineer to join its Technology team. The role involves designing, building, and maintaining high‑quality, scalable backend systems using Java 18+ and Spring Boot, deploying on Azure, and collaborating across cross‑functional Agile teams to deliver business‑critical platforms.
  • Design, develop, and optimize backend services using Java 18+ and Spring Boot.
  • Build RESTful APIs following domain‑driven design and clean‑architecture principles.
  • Deploy and manage applications on Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS) and Azure SQL.
  • Create and maintain CI/CD pipelines in Azure DevOps for build, test, and release.
  • Collaborate with cross‑functional teams (engineers, QA, product) in an Agile environment.
  • Conduct code reviews, write technical documentation, and mentor junior developers.
  • Monitor performance, implement observability, and drive reliability improvements.
  • Apply secure coding practices, including OAuth2/OpenID Connect for API authentication.
  • Automate infrastructure provisioning using IaC tools (Terraform/Bicep) where applicable.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement of engineering standards and best practices.
  • 5+ years of professional software engineering experience.
  • Strong proficiency in Java 18+ and Spring Boot with solid OOP design skills.
  • Hands‑on experience with Azure cloud services (AKS, Azure SQL) and Azure DevOps.
  • Deep understanding of REST APIs, microservices, and asynchronous programming.
  • Proficiency in SQL and relational database concepts.
  • Experience with Docker containers and modern CI/CD pipelines.
  • Knowledge of secure API authentication (OAuth2/OpenID Connect).
  • Familiarity with infrastructure‑as‑code tools such as Terraform or Bicep.
  • Exposure to event‑driven or message‑based architectures.
  • Ability to write unit tests and use test‑automation frameworks (e.g., JUnit, Mockito).
