About the role
The University of Leicester Admissions and Applicant Experience team has an exciting opportunity for an Admissions Support Officer to join a supportive, central team that works closely with academic departments and professional services colleagues across the institution. The team plays a key role in managing applications, making admissions decisions and supporting applicants through their journey, directly contributing to student recruitment and enrolment outcomes.
This is a fast-paced and varied role where you will assess applications from a diverse UK and international applicant pool, evaluate a wide range of global qualifications and provide guidance to applicants with varied and sometimes complex entry requirements. You will develop specialist knowledge of international education systems, admissions regulations, policies and systems, and support applicants through key stages of the admissions process.
You will work closely with academic colleagues and internal stakeholders to ensure applications are assessed accurately and efficiently, while delivering excellent customer service to applicants and their advisers. The role also involves contributing to recruitment activities, supporting key admissions projects and working flexibly across the admissions cycle to meet business priorities.
