Supported Accommodation Officer. Grade_06, SCP 11-17 (£29,071-£32,046) per year. Permanent 37 hours per week. This is an exciting opportunity to play a pivotal role in the new Temporary Supported Accommodation, for people experiencing homelessness, provided by Swansea Council’s Housing Service.
About the service:
Swansea Council’s Temporary Supported Accommodation will provide accommodation and support for people experiencing homelessness. Our service will run across a 24-hour period 365 days a year.
About the job:
As the Supported Accommodation Officer, you will:
Assist in the administration of day-to-day aspects of the scheme(s) and the provision of scheme services to residents.
Supervise the caretaker, ensuring a responsive and efficient maintenance and room turnaround provision
Provide a welcoming, PIE informed experience for clients and agencies coming into our office space.
Assist with aspects of premises/building management, Health and Safety and resources.
Support with data collection and reporting.
Contribute to the ongoing development of Temporary Supported Accommodation scheme(s) and homelessness services.

A strong communicator and problem solver, able to handle difficult and sometimes volatile situations should they arise.
Proven experience of working within the social housing sector
Experience of working in supported accommodation and/or support services which align with the Housing Support Grant guidelines and outcomes framework would be an advantage.
