An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Business Support Administrator working in the Thirsk area.

The role is to support the Early Help Service, primarily working from the Children and Families Hub in Thirsk. You will be expected to support other teams remotely too.

There is an expectation that the applicant will be able to support other Children’s Centres, and as such it would be ideal for the applicant to have a drivers licence with Business Cover on their insurance. If the applicant does not have a driving licence, there will still be the expectation that you will find alternative transport to support the other centres.

As this role is reception based there is no hybrid working / no home working and the applicant must be available to unlock and lock the building at the start of each day and the end of each day. Applicants must be conscientious and flexible with good communication and excellent customer care skills as you will be meeting and greeting families and professionals who use the centre on a daily basis.

You will have experience of word processing/ICT systems and be competent in using Microsoft packages in addition to good literacy and numeracy skills and you will be required to deliver a reception/administrative service dealing with face to face contact, telephone and e-mail enquiries, alongside dealing with visitors, service users and staff.

The ability to be able to organise yourself and prioritise your workload to meet tight deadlines is essential to the post and you must be able to work on your own initiative to provide business support to various operational teams.

Accuracy and attention to detail is critical together with a strong commitment to confidentiality of personal information and knowledge of Data Protection, Equalities and Health & Safety requirements for working within an office environment.

You will benefit from a supportive management system and on-going personal development and performance management.

Training will be given upon appointment.
