You will take ownership of sophisticated validation and debugging frameworks for Mac SoC platforms. Operating on a global scale, your expertise will bridge the gap between initial hardware architecture and final mass production, directly optimizing the quality of Mac systems. Expect to work closely with diverse, cross-functional engineering teams, with potential travel required to support worldwide operations.
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor's or Master's degree in EE, CE, or an equivalent engineering field.
5+ years of professional background focused on system-level SoC validation, bring-up, and defect resolution.
Practical expertise using lab bench tools including Digital Multimeters (DMMs), oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, power meters, and chillers for silicon characterization and hardware fault isolation.
Deep knowledge of silicon architectures (e.g., ARM) with a firm grasp of hardware-software boundaries, boot sequences, and system-level debug practices.
Preferred Qualifications
Expertise in post-silicon bring-up and validation processes including power, performance, thermal, etc. Familiarity with silicon System Level Test (SLT) screening, power binning, frequency-power-thermal-yield bounding box definition and challenges.
Deep knowledge of mobile/desktop SoC and DRAM architecture (e.g., ARM or x86 systems), with a proven track record in system-level power, performance, and thermal characterization.
Experience in developing SoC/DRAM performance and stability stress-test suites and scripting, as well as validation data post-processing and visualization.
Highly proactive, with the ability to drive tasks independently and adapt quickly to fast-moving project schedules.
Strong leadership and team collaboration spirit to drive test coverage enhancements and lead silicon/system-level failure analysis.
Clear and effective communicator, fully capable of teaming up with hardware and software groups across different time zones.
Experience leveraging AI tools and frameworks (e.g., LLMs, machine learning algorithms) to automate tasks, analyze engineering data, or enhance daily workflows
