We are looking for a Rising Star who sees the value in mentorship and wants to learn and grow personally and professionally.
Our firm is led by Judge Raisa Cohen, a retired Immigration Judge who believes in supporting her team through mentorship and learning.
She brings a 360-degree view of how cases are evaluated, how DHS builds and argues a case, how an Immigration Judge analyzes the record, and which subtle details and legal nuances can change the trajectory of an outcome. This is a rare opportunity to learn immigration law from someone who has seen the system from the inside.
Why this role is different
Direct mentorship from a retired Immigration Judge
Learn how decisions are actually made in court
Develop sharper strategy by understanding the case from both sides
Elevate your drafting, advocacy, and case analysis faster than in a typical associate role
What you’ll do
Draft and review legal filings (motions, briefs, affidavits, supporting evidence)
Prepare cases for court with a strategy-first approach
Work closely with Judge Cohen on case theory, weaknesses, and opportunities
Communicate with clients and guide them through complex processes
Support intake and case planning for an immigration practice
Who we’re looking for
Strong legal writing and attention to detail
Organized, proactive, and able to manage deadlines
Comfortable learning fast and taking feedback directly
Immigration experience is a plus (but not required if your fundamentals are strong)
If you’re serious about becoming exceptional in immigration law, this is the kind of mentorship you rarely find—and the kind of experience that can permanently level up your career.
