We are seeking a machine learning research engineer with experience building modern generative models based on diffusion and auto-regressive technologies. The ideal candidate has solid ML fundamentals, experience with applied research, and hands-on knowledge training and adapting large scale image/video/audio/multimodal foundation models. You will stay at the forefront of the latest AI research to rapidly apply impactful developments while simultaneously pioneering proprietary, experimental ideas designed specifically for Apple’s unique ecosystem.

Minimum Qualifications
M.S. or PhD in Computer Science or a related field such as Electrical Engineering, Robotics, Statistics, Applied Mathematics, or equivalent experience.
2+ years of experience working on training and fine-tuning modern image / video generation models
Experience working in an academic or industrial research environment
Proficient in an ML framework such as PyTorch, TensorFlow, JAX
Excellent communication skills and an ability to drive clarity in ambiguous circumstances

Preferred Qualifications
Track record of strong industrial research, including delivery of complex projects or publications in top-tier venues
