Why You Will Be Excited About This Role

Lead Levande Camden View, a 54-unit retirement village in Laurieton, on the NSW Mid North Coast. This is an autonomous, hands-on opportunity where you’ll get to know residents and take personal responsibility for the village’s day-to-day operations.

With no direct reports, you’ll suit a leader who enjoys working independently and being actively involved in getting things done. You’ll manage the daily administration, resident enquiries and operational priorities yourself, with support from your Area Manager and Levande’s specialist teams.

Take ownership of a smaller village where your contribution is visible.
Build strong resident relationships as their regular onsite point of contact.
Use your judgement and initiative to organise your day and deliver village improvements.

Why You Will Like Working Here
Reporting to the Area Manager, you’ll have access to fellow Village Managers and colleagues across asset management, finance and People & Culture for advice and specialist support.

A shared Maintenance Officer supports Camden View one day per week, working across three villages, while gardening services are outsourced. You’ll coordinate these services as part of keeping the village well maintained.

You’ll also have access to:

My Day: One additional day of leave each year to spend on something meaningful to you.
24/7 wellbeing support: Access Sonder, your Everyday Wellbeing Companion, for confidential health, safety and wellbeing support for you and your family.
Fitness Passport: Affordable gym and fitness memberships for you and your family across participating locations.
Learning and development: Village Operations career pathways, online learning resources, plus education assistance and paid study leave for eligible employees.

What You Will Be Working On
You’ll personally manage the village’s daily operations, including:

Supporting residents, communicating with families and resident committees, and resolving concerns fairly.
Managing village administration, records, resident communications and enquiries.
Preparing budgets, reporting on financial performance and delivering the village improvement plan.
Coordinating the shared Maintenance Officer, gardening contractor and other service providers, including maintenance and refurbishment priorities.
Supporting smooth resident arrivals and departures, wellbeing activities and community engagement.
Maintaining safe operations, managing risks and meeting legislative and compliance requirements.

This role requires an ongoing onsite presence in Laurieton. At times, you may need to respond to urgent operational matters or emergencies outside normal working hours.

What Type Of Person Will Be Successful
You’re approachable, resourceful and comfortable working independently. You enjoy combining resident interaction with administration, financial management and practical problem-solving, and know when to seek specialist support.

You’ll bring:

Operational management experience in retirement living, property, facilities, hospitality or another service industry.
Strong organisation and initiative, with the ability to manage competing priorities without an onsite team.
Confidence managing budgets, resolving complaints and coordinating contractors.
Strong communication and computer skills, including Microsoft Office and business systems.

Three to five years’ relevant industry experience, knowledge of retirement village or related property legislation, and relevant qualifications or equivalent practical experience would be highly regarded.
