We are looking for an experienced **Chief Financial Officer (CFO)** to lead the finance function and play a key role in shaping the next stage of growth of a renewable energy company. As a member of the leadership team, the CFO will work closely with the CEO, management team and Board to drive **financial strategy, project financing, profitability and investment decisions**, while leading and developing the finance team and building the processes and financial infrastructure required to scale the business. The role combines **strategic leadership with a strong hands-on approach** in a fast-growing and entrepreneurial environment. * Define and lead the **financial strategy**, aligning financial planning, capital allocation and risk management with the company’s growth and investment objectives. * Take full responsibility for **finance, controlling, treasury, tax and management reporting**. * Lead budgeting, forecasting and long-term business planning, including analysis of P&L, balance sheet, cash flow, costs, overheads and liquidity. * Oversee monthly closing and controlling processes, including the reconciliation of commercial and statutory financial results across entities. * Evaluate new renewable energy projects and investment opportunities in collaboration with commercial, sales and analyst teams, developing financial models, business cases and scenario analyses. * Assess project economics, including **CAPEX, OPEX and margins**, and provide actionable financial recommendations to management. * Lead **project finance and debt financing initiatives**, including financing documentation, negotiations and coordination with banks, lenders and internal stakeholders. * Advise the CEO and management team on financing strategy, investment decisions, financial risk, M&A, joint ventures, partnerships and strategic investments. * Manage pricing, profitability, intercompany service agreements and transfer-pricing arrangements, in coordination with tax and legal advisers. * Strengthen financial governance, internal controls, finance systems and processes while supporting the development of the finance function as the company grows. * Act as a strategic business partner to the CEO and management team across commercial, operational, financing and investment decisions. * 7+ years of relevant finance experience, including senior responsibility as Finance Director, Head of Finance or similar. * Experience in renewable energy, energy infrastructure, EPC, utilities, cleantech or another project-driven industry. * Strong experience in project finance, debt financing, capital raising and financial modelling. * Excellent knowledge of budgeting, forecasting, cash management, controlling, reporting and project profitability. * Experience working with banks, investors, Boards and auditors. * Native German and fluent English. * An attractive compensation package with leadership development opportunities * A dynamic environment with agile decision-making and the opportunity to shape the company’s financial strategy * The opportunity to drive profitable growth, optimize investment decisions and build scalable financial structures * A key role in advancing the energy transition while creating measurable, sustainable business value
