The Refrigeration Assembler (C Band; ZP Line Assembly, Purple Line Assembly) assembles the refrigeration system of our environmental test chambers by following blueprints and mechanical engineering drawings.
The role starts with a completed cabinet and mounts a completed power pack to the frame, connects the power pack to coils in the cabinet via interconnect piping, and assembles Microclimate power packs following blueprints. This is a full-time, non-exempt, on-site role (40 hours/week, with overtime when requested) at our Cincinnati, OH plant. Reports to the Area Manager.

- Pass the company Braze Test
- Pipe systems correctly using a flow diagram
- Work with Engineering to identify material or paperwork problems
- Train others as directed
Skills, Knowledge and Experience
Essential
- High School Diploma or GED
- History of good attendance; task oriented
- Good math skills, including converting decimals to fractions
- Accuracy reading a tape measure; follows procedures
- Reads parts lists and fills out quality check sheets
- Power tools (drill, saws); own basic tools (tape measure, screwdriver, wrenches, channel locks, copper cutters)
- Lifts up to 50 lbs frequently, up to 100 lbs occasionally (team lift or mechanical aid above 50 lbs overhead)
Desirable
- Previous manufacturing experience
- Refrigeration experience/education: wrapping, piping, soldering, brazing, mounting refrigeration components
