LAUNDRY ATTENDANT
Job Summary: The laundry attendant is responsible for efficient laundering of linen and clothing, ensuring highest quality of cleanliness and finished product.
Responsibilities:
- Receiving dirty linen, sorting by degree of soil, colour and type.
- Separating, counting and recording stained and damaged linen.
- Ensuring soiled linen is counted and recorded.
- Weighing and preparing linen for washing.
- Loading washer according to stipulated capacity.
- Ensuring linen is sufficiently extracted for efficient ironing/drying.
- Unloading washer, loads dryer and sets correct temperature.
- Ensuring linen is cooled before removing from dryer.
- Preparing linen for ironing and folding.
Qualifications:
- High School Leaving Certificate/Diploma.
