Solar PV Roofer Employer: Ardrar Ltd Job title: Solar PV Roofer (SOC 5313 – Roofers, Roof Tilers and Slaters) Contract: Permanent, full-time Location: Building 6900 Avenue 6000 Cork, Airport Business Park, Cork Eircode: T12CFR6 Hours of work: 39 hours per week Minimum annual remuneration: €36,605 Vacancies: 1 Ardrar Ltd is hiring a Solar PV Roofer to prepare roofs and mechanically install solar PV mounting systems and modules. Duties inspect pitched and flat roofs and confirm they can take the PV mounting system measure, mark out and prepare the roof area install, align, fix and seal mounting systems, rails, hooks, anchors and PV modules carry out associated roofing works, including cutting, fitting, local tile or sheet replacement, weathering and making the roof watertight work safely at height and follow site and PPE procedures move and position materials on the roof, keep the site tidy and report roof defects to the supervisor complete job sheets, progress photos and mechanical installation checklists This role does not include electrical design, grid connection, electrical testing, commissioning or registered electrical work. Those tasks are carried out by qualified electricians. Essential requirements at least 2 years’ experience as a roofer and/or mechanical solar PV installer proven ability to work on pitched and flat roofs and at height practical knowledge of PV mounting systems and weathering valid Safe Pass (or recognised equivalent before start) working at heights and manual handling certification, or willingness to obtain before start full Category B driving licence English sufficient for site and safety instructions Desirable: PV install experience in Ireland or similar conditions; PV mounting-system training.
