As an Amazon Worldwide (WW) Workplace Health & Safety (WHS) Ground Gas Specialist you will help protect one of the safest real estate programs in the world. You will partner with stakeholders and teams across Amazon to develop and run our ground gas mitigation program in continental Europe, spanning standards and policy development, implementation, and execution; your work directly reduces environmental and human-health risk across our facilities. To be successful you will bring strong contaminated-land and ground gas or vapour-intrusion expertise, including risk assessment, mitigation system design, construction, operations, maintenance, and monitoring (OMM); you will understand how ground gas and vapour intrusion are regulated within European contaminated-land frameworks and be able to extend that understanding across the countries in scope. We welcome experienced geo-environmental generalists with demonstrable ground gas exposure, and Amazon will sponsor specialist accreditation and training to deepen your expertise. This role is based in continental Europe and covers Amazon's European portfolio, coordinating country-specific regulatory work through qualified local partners and consultants. Travel is variable and project-driven, concentrated during site investigation, construction, and startup phases; it is not a fixed continuous commitment.
