You will be leading a team of engineers and engineering managers responsible for functions including bringup and validation of debug features and tools; triage of failures requiring a combination of software, hardware and Si expertise; and Si validation and characterization leveraging workloads running on internal software builds. You and your team will need to make debug features and tools available for a broad set of Apple R&D teams while also debugging the most critical issues sourced from SiVal, Factory, and Software testing, characterization and screening.
This role will require building intimate knowledge of the Apple SW stack, related build flows/automation, and methods for doing custom debug builds for data collection and triage. You will be collaborating with teams across Apple to solve cross-functional issues while also directing and prioritizing work for the team. Process and prioritize work across multiple concurrent projects through proactive and real-time assessments and detailed planning. Engage in the technical details of all aspects of the position and organization, providing technical guidance internally while accurately representing the team with executives and partner organizations. Build and cultivate relationships needed to converge on the best solutions. Promote Apple culture while cultivating a team culture that's aligned to business needs, developing the managers and engineers across your organization.
Minimum Qualifications
BS degree with a minimum of 15 years of relevant industry experience.
Experience managing teams of 20+ engineers.
Preferred Qualifications
Demonstrated proficiency in HW/SW interaction, Validation at scale, and characterization
Demonstrated proficiency in automation frameworks
Experience in FPGA- and Prototype HW-based Validation and Debug.
Demonstrated ability to grow and develop managers and senior technical contributors
Strong scripting and data analysis experience
Ability to work effectively across functions and organizations
Ability to present plans, status and issues to executive leadership
