Duration: Full Time, May 17, 2027 – August 05, 2027

Location: Media, PA (Onsite 4 days per week)

Rate: $18/hr

Wawa Internship Program Overview

 

The Wawa Internship Program offers students hands-on experience in a collaborative corporate environment, where they work alongside experienced professionals, contribute to meaningful business projects, and build skills that support their academic and professional growth. Throughout the summer, interns participate in professional development and networking opportunities with fellow interns and company leaders. The program culminates in a capstone presentation, where interns showcase key projects, accomplishments, and the impact of their contributions.

 

We are currently seeking an intern to join our Government Relations & Social Purpose team for Summer 2027.

 

What You'll Do

As a Legal Intern, you'll gain hands-on experience supporting Wawa's government affairs, public policy, and corporate social responsibility initiatives. Depending on business needs and team assignments, you may have the opportunity to:

 

  • Support research and analysis related to legislative, regulatory, and public policy issues impacting Wawa and the convenience retail industry.
  • Assist with stakeholder communications, presentations, and reporting on government relations and social impact initiatives.
  • Analyze trends related to food insecurity, food waste, sustainability, and community impact programs.
  • Collaborate with internal and external partners to support advocacy, research, and strategic initiatives.
  • Identify opportunities to enhance Wawa's social purpose efforts through data, insights, and industry best practices.

Basic Qualifications

  • Currently pursuing a bachelor's degree in Political Science, Government Relations or a related field.
  • Expected graduation date between Spring 2028 and Spring 2030.
  • Ability to work onsite at Wawa Corporate Headquarters in Media, PA, four days per week throughout the internship program.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
  • Previous internship, project, or leadership experience in legal is preferred.
