At World Animal Protection, we believe that learning from our work is critical to creating lasting change for animals. We are looking for an Evaluation & Learning Advisor to help strengthen how evidence, insight and learning are used across the organisation.

Working with colleagues across teams, portfolios and external partners, you will support the planning and delivery of evaluation and learning activities, helping ensure that evidence is translated into practical insights that improve decision-making and organisational effectiveness.

You will contribute to a stronger learning culture, ensuring that evaluation is an essential part of how we reflect, adapt and improve our work.



What you will be doing

  • Supporting the planning and coordination of evaluation and organisational learning activities across priorities and work areas.
  • Gathering, analysing and assessing evidence from projects, programmes, grants and partner-delivered activities.
  • Working with colleagues to define learning questions, clarify evaluation needs and support evaluation processes.
  • Producing clear evaluation and learning outputs that inform decision-making and delivery improvement.
  • Assessing evidence quality and identifying gaps, weaknesses or inconsistencies that may affect learning outcomes.
  • Integrating evaluation and learning with wider reporting, insight and portfolio processes.
  • Contributing to improvements in evaluation and learning methods, processes and ways of working.

What we are looking for

  • Experience supporting evaluation, organisational learning, impact assessment, research or a related area in a complex organisation.
  • Strong analytical skills and the ability to manage and assess evidence to support learning and decision-making.
  • Experience collaborating with colleagues and stakeholders on evaluation or learning activity across multiple work areas.
  • A good understanding of question framing, evidence gathering, synthesis and learning outputs.
  • Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage evaluation- and learning-related processes effectively.
  • Sound judgement and the ability to identify issues, gaps and opportunities for practical improvement.
  • Experience using planning, reporting or workflow tools to organise evidence and support evaluation processes.
