Starting Pay: $22 to $28 per hour

Position Summary
The Night Warehouse Specialist II is responsible for performing a combination of selecting, loading, product handling, and warehouse equipment operations to support efficient distribution center operations. This role ensures outbound products are loaded accurately, inspected for quality, and properly staged or stored to maintain inventory integrity and compliance with company safety, quality and operational standards.

Responsibilities include loading outbound freight, verifying product counts and condition, and preparing inventory for storage and warehouse distribution activities. The Night Warehouse Specialist II also operates forklifts and other powered industrial equipment to move, stage, and store products safely and efficiently.

This position provides cross-functional support across warehouse operations and may assist with additional operational tasks as needed to maintain workflow efficiency and support order fulfillment activities. The position may require certification to operate various Powered Industrial Trucks (PIT) and other warehouse equipment.
Essential Duties
(Receiver / Additional Warehouse / Night Order Selector Hybrid Role)
Receiving Operations

Receives outbound inventory and verifies product quantities, condition, and date codes to ensure accuracy and quality standards.
Loads outbound freight and ensures products are properly recorded, staged, and stored in designated warehouse locations.
Inputs inventory data into warehouse systems, including product counts and date code information.
Identifies and reports receiving discrepancies such as damage, shortages, overages, or items not listed on purchase orders.
Communicates with Purchasing and supervisors to resolve receiving issues and determine product disposition.
Complies with HACCP guidelines, including incoming goods inspections and critical control point monitoring.

Warehouse Equipment Operations

Operates forklifts and other powered industrial equipment to move, stage, and store product safely and efficiently.
Unloads and transports palletized inventory within warehouse storage areas according to operational procedures.
Performs pre-operation equipment inspections and follows all company safety procedures when operating warehouse equipment.
Maintains awareness of warehouse traffic patterns and safety practices to ensure safe product movement.

Warehouse Operations Support

Assists with warehouse organization to maintain efficient operational workflows.
Supports overall warehouse operations and performs additional duties as assigned by supervisor.
Uses the Company’s Mission/Vision Statements and Core Values as guiding principles.

Night Order Selector

Independently pulls orders across all assigned zones using the voice system and a pallet jack or sit-down / high-reach forklift, consistently meeting productivity and accuracy standards.
Builds well-organized, stable, correctly sequenced, damage-free pallets with minimal rework.
Independently assembles and stages orders accurately to support timely final check and loading.
Accurately marks and labels materials and verifies that identifying information is correct and complete.
Independently weighs or counts and verifies conformance, catching discrepancies before they move forward.
Consistently inspects and ensures products selected are free from damage and infestation, and escalates issues appropriately.
Compiles accurate storage and selection data for daily reports independently.
Independently prepares and labels pallets for shipping accurately and completely.
Consistently applies safety, food-handling, and date-rotation procedures and models safe practices.

Qualifications

High school diploma or GED or equivalent/related experience.
At 2 two years of related experience in Warehouse Operations or an equivalent role.

Physical Demands

Lifting up to 100 lbs.
Frequent standing, walking, bending, kneeling, climbing, and manual handling.
Use of pallet jacks, powered tools, and warehouse equipment.
High mobility and repetitive motion required. Exposure to loud noise, temperature fluctuations, and fast-paced environments.
Requires visual, auditory, and manual dexterity.
