Browser extension
Tailor and pre-fill from any job page on the web
What it does
The extension reads the job posting on the page you are viewing so you can tailor against it, and pre-fills application forms from your saved profile.
It saves the answers you type into application forms to your account, so the next form can start from them.
When to use it
- The posting you want is not in our index.
- You are applying on an employer site directly and want the fields filled.
How to use it
-
Install it
From the extensions page, install it in Firefox. We host a Mozilla-signed build ourselves, so there is no store wait.
-
Sign in
The extension uses your account, so it needs you signed in to reach your resumes and profile.
-
Open a job posting
On a job page, the extension reads the posting and offers to tailor against it.
-
Fill an application
On an application form, it fills what it can from your profile and past answers. Review before submitting.
What it costs
The extension is free. Tailoring started from it spends one credit, exactly like tailoring in the app.
How credits workGood to know
Firefox only, for now
The Chrome and Edge listings are not live yet. On those browsers the extensions page will say so rather than offer you a dead link. Everything the extension does can also be done by pasting the posting into Tailor.
It reads the page you are on, when you use it
The extension reads the job posting to tailor against it and your form fields to fill them. It never reads or stores password fields. The full detail is in section 12 of the privacy policy.
Page layouts vary
Postings that are rendered oddly, or forms built in unusual ways, may not be read cleanly. Fall back to pasting the description into Tailor.
