The Opportunity
We are seeking a Part-Time Field Test Driver to support mobile field-testing operations on a flexible schedule. You will safely operate company test vehicles along assigned routes while working with engineers conducting mobile device and network testing.
This is a safety-focused driving role. Safe vehicle operation must remain the driver’s top priority at all times.
What You’ll Do
Safely operate company vehicles along assigned field-testing routes
Drive in urban, highway, and high-traffic environments, including occasional out-of-state routes
Follow assigned routes, navigation tools, schedules, and field instructions
Comply with all applicable traffic laws, parking regulations, and company driving requirements
Maintain full attention on the road and avoid mobile devices, test equipment, screens, or other distractions while driving
Practice defensive driving and operate vehicles smoothly and safely
Maintain awareness of traffic, pedestrians, road hazards, weather, and changing driving conditions
Perform basic vehicle checks and maintain fueling, cleanliness, and vehicle readiness
Secure vehicles and equipment during stops, breaks, and unattended periods
Promptly report vehicle issues, accidents, incidents, citations, or safety concerns
Maintain accurate driving logs and assigned task records
Follow company, client, safety, security, and confidentiality requirements
What You’ll Bring (Required)
Valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record meeting company, client, and applicable insurance requirements
Strong commitment to defensive and distraction-free driving
Ability to remain focused while testing activities and conversations occur inside the vehicle
Comfortable driving for extended periods in varying traffic, road, and weather conditions
Familiarity with GPS/navigation applications such as Google Maps or Waze
Reliable attendance, punctuality, and ability to follow assigned routes and schedules
Strong safety awareness, professionalism, and responsibility
Ability to maintain confidentiality regarding company and client projects, equipment, and information
Nice to Have
Previous professional driving, delivery, transportation, or similar experience
Defensive driving or driver-safety training
Experience supporting field operations, engineering, telecommunications, or technology teams
Work Environment
Primarily field-based position involving extended periods of driving and sitting
Part-time schedule based on project and testing needs
Routes may include urban streets, highways, and high-traffic areas
Testing activities and engineering discussions may occur inside the vehicle; however, safe vehicle operation always takes priority
May include early-morning, evening, or weekend schedules
Occasional out-of-state driving may be required
