Position Overview
The Associate Director, E-Commerce Finance LillyDirect is a key finance business partner supporting LillyDirect's direct-to-consumer (DTC) commercial operations. This role owns financial planning, performance analysis, and decision support for e-commerce revenue streams and marketing analytics. The ideal candidate bridges traditional pharmaceutical financial planning rigor with e-commerce and digital marketing fluency — translating metrics like Customer Acquisition Costs (CAC), conversion, retention, and subscriber economics into financial forecasts and investment recommendations that inform senior leadership decisions. This individual will work cross-functionally with Commercial, Marketing, Digital Product, Finance, Business Intelligence & Analytics (BI&A) and Competitive Intelligence teams to ensure LillyDirect's financial models reflects real-time market dynamics, including market developments. The role will report directly to the LillyDirect CFO.
Key Responsibilities
Revenue Forecast: Develop and own the revenue model, own the daily tracking of e-commerce revenue and monthly/quarterly forecast process.
Marketing analysis: partner with Marketing to build and maintain CAC, Lifetime Value (LTV), payback period, and media efficiency models across paid search, retargeting, organic, and other acquisition channels; recommend budget allocation shifts based on channel performance.
Partner with LillyDirect finance function for financial planning and reporting of cost-to-serve and marketing spend across the LillyDirect portfolio.
Business Case Development: Develop financial business cases for new e-commerce features and/or or new channel partnerships
Competitive Benchmarking Support: Collaborate with Competitive Intelligence to incorporate market developments into internal forecasting assumptions.
Management Reporting: Prepare monthly performance packages and ad hoc analyses for senior finance and commercial leadership, translating complex e-commerce data into clear financial narratives.
Process & Systems: Improve financial data infrastructure connecting e-commerce platforms, and financial systems to enable faster, more accurate reporting by partnering with Business Intelligence & Analytics and Finance teams.
Cross-Functional Partnership: Serve as the primary finance point of contact for e-commerce product, marketing, and operations teams.
Basic Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree or higher in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business, Computer Science/ Engineering, or Statistics.
Minimum of 5 years of experience in e-commerce / digital finance roles

Preferred Qualifications
Experience in pharmaceutical, healthcare, or regulated direct-to-consumer industries.
Demonstrated experience partnering with marketing or digital teams on channel investment analysis.
Strong financial modeling skills (Excel/advanced modeling required)
Familiarity with subscription business models and telehealth platforms
Knowledge of pharmaceutical gross-to-net, payer mix, or market access fundamentals.
Strategic financial thinking with strong attention to detail
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a bias for action.
Data-driven storytelling with ability to translate operational / digital metrics into financial and strategic recommendations for senior leadership.
Excellent communication skills, with experience presenting to executive audiences.
Ability to influence cross-functionally without authority
Comfort operating in ambiguity within a fast-evolving DTC/digital business
Experience with BI tools such as Power BI or Tableau
Travel Requirement
Up to 10%, primarily domestic travel (Indiana)

Actual compensation will depend on a candidate’s education, experience, skills, and geographic location. The anticipated wage for this position is
$141,000-$206,800Full-time equivalent employees also will be eligible for a company bonus (depending, in part, on company and individual performance).
