The CI HUMINT Research Analyst is an expert-level analyst responsible for developing, refining, and validating Counterintelligence (CI) and Human Intelligence (HUMINT) doctrine that supports cyber‑domain operations. The analyst provides senior-level research, tradecraft development, and operational analysis focused on identifying, mitigating, and exploiting foreign intelligence threats—particularly those emerging from cyber-enabled environments, illicit digital ecosystems, C‑UTS activity, and threat finance networks.
Serving as a senior subject-matter expert, the analyst synthesizes operational experience, cyber domain intelligence, CI equities, and HUMINT operational insights to produce authoritative doctrine, tactics, techniques, procedures (TTPs), methodologies, and training requirements. These outputs directly enable organizations to detect, disrupt, and counter foreign intelligence entities leveraging cyberspace, digital personas, online infrastructure, and financially motivated cybercriminal networks.
A core responsibility is the structured identification, documentation, and validation of best practices and lessons learned using the Joint Lessons Learned Program (JLLP). The analyst conducts systematic collection of observations across cyber operations, CI/HUMINT engagements, exercises, network assessments, training events, and research activities. The analyst evaluates these observations for applicability, develops technically sound resolutions, measures their effectiveness, and disseminates validated doctrine updates to improve cyber-enabled HUMINT tradecraft across the enterprise.
