Primary Objectives
The Contract Management group is responsible for managing all aspects of the contract lifecycle, from licensee on-boarding, contract negotiations, through contract amendments and renewals. This role has high interaction with a broad array of Disney groups (Licensing, Finance, Legal, Credit and Collections, ILS, etc.), as well as Disney’s licensees. The group also focuses on implementing efficient and effective systems, processes, and controls.
Specific Duties
The position will be primarily responsible for the following key functions under the direction of Contract Management Senior Manager / Hub leader:
Maintain deep understanding of contract execution process; act as subject matter expert (SME) on licensing contract execution
Provide day-to-day directional leadership to vendor staff, provide timely information and instruction to vendor staff for all licensing contracts
Review work product of vendor staff to ensure consistent standard of excellence
Act as SME for training and knowledge transfer to vendor staff
Address complex and escalated contract execution issues and determine course of action, including referring to Contract Management leadership, Licensing, Finance, or Legal
Lead and participate in contract status meetings with stakeholders
Ensure contract execution Service Level Agreements (SLAs) and Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) are met or exceeded. Ensure adherence to internal processes and controls
Proactively identify roadblocks and risks and recommend solutions to the Contract Management leadership
Partner with senior leadership to address licensee’s contract concerns, determine course of action and drive to resolution
Participate in regional and global ad-hoc projects
Participate in system and process improvement projects
Minimal travel may be required <5%
Professional Qualifications
Must possess a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience
Minimum five years of relevant experience
Work experience within the entertainment industry would be considered a strong plus
Specific Skills
Must possess strong quantitative and analytical skills with ability to interpret and communicate data to executive leadership and stakeholders
Must have strong English and Japanese language skills. Must be able to communicate verbally and in writing and read and interpret complex legal documents in English and Japanese
Prior leadership and/or project management experience would be considered a strong plus
Prior experience managing vendor teams would be considered as a strong plus
Strong relationship building skills and a highly professional “client service orientation”
Must be able to interact with all levels of management orally and in writing
Must be an excellent team player who possesses solid interpersonal and organizational skills
Experience with Power BI, Power Automate, and pivot tables would be considered a strong plus
Excellent communicator in both oral and written settings
High energy level; strong work ethic

Exhibit a willingness to be adaptable and flexible and demonstrate a desire to operate in a dynamic environment
