Position Summary


The Aetna Managed Medicaid Fellowship introduces two pharmacists to the health plan side of pharmacy benefits management with a focus on utilization management. This role is designed to cultivate future Aetna/CVS Health® leaders with exposure to projects across variety of Medicaid Pharmacy shared services teams and individual health plans.

Throughout the year, fellows can expect to be involved in shared service functions for both clinical and operational administration of pharmacy benefit services. Focus on utilization management that delivers optimized medication utilization and high-quality outcomes.  

Required Qualifications

  • PharmD graduate of a U.S. accredited program prior to beginning Post-Graduate Training Program at CVS Health

  • Pharmacist licensure within 90 days of hire date

Preferred Qualifications

  • Working knowledge of drug information resources  

  • Effective communication and presentation skills

  • Strong writing ability: knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint

  • Strong analytical and critical thinking skills

  • Travel requirements may include training programs and professional meetings and conferences

  • Demonstrated growth mindset and willingness to learn and accept feedback

  • Proven track record of high performance

Education

PharmD graduate of a U.S. accredited program prior to beginning Post-Graduate Training Program at CVS Health.

Pay Range

The typical pay range for this role is:

$45,250.00 - $64,750.00

This pay range represents the base hourly rate or base annual full-time salary for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls.  The actual base salary offer will depend on a variety of factors including experience, education, geography and other relevant factors.
