Head of Air Freight - South Pacific

Are you a commercially astute air freight leader with a passion for growth, customer success and operational excellence?

We have a rare opportunity to join our team as an experienced and strategic Head of Air Freight - South Pacific to lead our Air Freight product our South Pacific region. Reporting directly to the South Pacific CEO, with a strong connection to the regional leadership team, this role offers the opportunity to shape and execute the regional Air Freight strategy while owning the full profit and loss performance of the business.

About the Role

You will be responsible for driving sustainable growth, expanding market share and delivering strong commercial results through your leadership of a high performing team across the sub-region. You will lead business development initiatives, strengthen customer and trade lane relationships, optimise operational performance and ensure the delivery of innovative, customer-focused air freight solutions.

Working closely with key stakeholders across the business and regionally, this role will play a pivotal role in winning new business, retaining key customers and positioning DHL as the logistics provider of choice in the market.

Key Responsibilities

· Develop and execute the South Pacific Air Freight strategy aligned with global trade lane priorities.

· Own the full Air Freight P&L, including revenue growth, pricing, yield management and cost control.

· Drive customer acquisition, retention and profitable growth across the region.

· Lead participation in global and regional tenders and RFQs.

· Build and maintain strategic relationships with customers, carriers, suppliers and key stakeholders.

· Champion operational excellence, service quality and continuous improvement.

· Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, DHL standards and governance frameworks.

· Lead, coach and develop a high-performing team across the South Pacific region.

About You

You are a proven leader within the freight forwarding or logistics industry, with a strong track record of delivering commercial growth and leading high-performing teams and will bring.

· Extensive experience in Air Freight or international logistics leadership.

· Strong commercial acumen with P&L ownership experience.

· Demonstrated success in business development, customer engagement and strategic account growth.

· Experience leading complex tenders and customer solutions.

· Exceptional stakeholder management and influencing skills.

· A collaborative leadership style with a passion for developing talent.

· The ability to operate effectively in a fast-paced, global matrix environment.
