We are the captive Shared Service Provider for DHL Global Forwarding and DHL Freight (DGFF). We are an organization of more than 4,600 colleagues complemented by approximately 500 virtual FTE (i.e., bots applied in process automation). Our colleagues are based across six service delivery centers in Mumbai, Chennai, Chengdu, Manila, Bogota & Budapest. You will interact with people from all over the world and get the chance to a truly international organization.

In this role, you will have the opportunity to provide top-notch service within the Ocean Freight (OFR) Service line, supporting our DGFF regions and countries globally. The role involves training to proficiently execute various activities, including shipment creation and enrichment, document upload, CONSOL enrichment, transport booking, sending shipping instructions, security filing, verifying draft MBL (Master Bill of Lading), tracking and updating milestones, handling inbound consols, managing carrier release milestones, notifying customers/brokers, preparing sailing schedules and gateway consols, sending discharge note documents, offering agent solution support, and validating routing for detention and demurrage storage.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Execute tasks aligning with station/country documentation requisites and SOPs, ensuring adherence to standardized procedures.
  • Ensure departmental SLAs and KPIs are met per agreed-upon delivery guidelines, maintaining performance excellence.
  • Deliver exceptional service quality by promptly and accurately completing assigned tasks.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally to ideate solutions, leverage best practices, and optimize service delivery for our business partners.
  • Timely flag operational challenges to supervisors and business partners, facilitating prompt resolution.
  • Coordinate with relevant stakeholders for seamless communication and information flow, aligning with service-specific protocols.
  • Provide expert insights to drive problem-solving initiatives and continuous process improvement efforts.
  • Collaborate closely with business partners to refine processes, identify efficiencies, and foster best practices.
  • Support staff in navigating complex issues, maintaining meticulous process documentation, and upholding stringent quality control standards.
  • Ensure timely filing of EGM/IGM to avert penalties, coordinating with Customs for smooth DDU/DDP shipment clearances and consignee deliveries.
  • Mitigate claims and penalties arising from service failures, adeptly managing customer complaints and overseas queries.
  • Oversee operational cost actualization in CW1 within FICO timelines, coordinating with carriers for efficient pickup, sailing, and delivery arrangements, while ensuring accurate cost estimates and revenue billing with no data quality issues. Liaise with origin offices for carrier selection and manage container turnaround to prevent detention, while monitoring undelivered cargo and keeping the customer service team informed. Responsibly manage Export & Imports Operations functions to enhance both internal and external customer satisfaction, demonstrating comprehensive understanding and adherence to operational processes, and ensuring consistent data quality.

Required Skills/Abilities:

  • Bachelor´s degree. A degree in logistics, industrial engineering, management will be an advantage
  • 2 - 5 years of job experience from logistics domain - Preferred
  • Good knowledge in MS office
  • Effective English communication skills, written and verbal
  • Preferred to have Ocean Freight and E2E detailed knowledge of Import and Export process
  • Mandatory experience in Cargowise and Freight forwarding industry
  • Detail oriented
  • Good logical reasoning skills
  • High level of customer centricity
