We are seeking Software Development Engineer in Test (SDET) Interns for Spring/Summer 2027! This is a paid, in-person internship.The Software Quality Engineering team champions quality across the entire product life cycle by embedding
engineering-driven testing into the development process. As an SDET intern, you won't just execute test cases — you'll write code to test code, building the automation, tooling, and frameworks that guarantee our products work as intended. At Anduril, Software Quality Engineering is a development function: we actively build new products and projects while supporting production. You'll apply real software engineering skills — programming (Python), version control, and CI/CD — to bring the quality discipline directly into production, engineering, and supplier management workflows.
The Voyager team at Anduril Industries is an engineering and design division with vast experience in developing innovative computing and communications solutions for the network edge. We specialize in integrating enterprise networking capabilities from global IT leaders with purpose-built hardware and software platforms designed to meet the most stringent environmental requirements.
WHAT YOU’LL DO
As an Software Developer Engineer in Test (SDET) intern, you'll be part of one of our Agile Software Development teams responsible for a variety of projects. You may be working on:
- Design and build test automation frameworks for UI, API, and integration testing
- Write automated test suites and integrate them into CI/CD pipelines
- Develop test tooling — mocks, stubs, simulators, and data generators — to validate complex systems
- Perform performance, load, and reliability testing on mission-critical software
- Debug across the full stack, contributing fixes to both test and production code
- Advocate for testability, partnering with development teams to build quality in from the start
Our engineering teams develop hardware and software platforms to support a variety of applications, such as:
- Data logging for self-driving cars
- Link aggregation technology for better connectivity on trains
- Government services such as emergency response, disaster recovery and security
- Hardware platforms used by AI/ML for object recognition – Deep learning inference engine using object detection networks like Faster R-CNN on Intel CPUs or the integrated Intel GPU
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Must be pursuing a bachelor’s or master’s degree in a technical field such as engineering, math, or science.
- Ability to complete an in-person internship in our Dublin office.
- Must be a penultimate year student at the time of the internship and returning to University at the end of the internship to continue academic studies for at least one year.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Demonstrated ability to creatively problem solve issues related embedded software and electromechanical hardware in a resource-constrained environment
- Demonstrated in-kind or direct team leadership skills
- Personal experience with linux, Git-Lab/hub, embedded hardware systems
- A genuine interest in software testing, and thirst for learning
- Previous experience leading project and working with software development and/or testing, analysis, and driving improvements.
- Software scripting experience in any language
The salary range for this role is an estimate based on a wide range of compensation factors, inclusive of base salary only. Actual salary offer may vary based on (but not limited to) work experience, education and/or training, critical skills, and/or business considerations.
