Summary:
Quality Systems Leader
role supports the implementation of Unilever specifications, standards and
Quality Management System (QMS) for quality assurance and controls in alignment
with applicable regulatory requirements.The incumbent is
responsible for managing the QA function by providing the Plant with technical
support to insure that systems, processes, components, and finished products
comply with quality standards and customer service levels in alignment with
regulatory agencies requirements.This key Quality role
ensures systems are in place to comply with local and international regulatory
requirements and drives site Quality improvement activities to ensure product
consumer safety & overall quality and address consumer / customer issues.Decision making directly
impacts consumer safety and quality of UL products in the market place with
implications on UL reputation and brand equity.Is a key role in
mitigation and management of UL Corporate Operational Risk (Design and
production of products that meet our environmental, consumer safety and quality
standards).Supports implementation
of Unilever QMS in the site to assure consumer safety and overall quality of
final product being manufactured.Supports implementation

complete and maintain internal and external audits and certifications.Manage the site’s change
management process.Key owner.
Quality Leader for all
innovations, including all in-line trials for new products and new or improved
process equipment.Quality leadership
includes ensuring all standards are received and reviewed prior to trials,
BOM’s are reviewed, QMS standards are followed, innovations meet customer
expectations (CRQS, etc.) and validations are completed using IQ, OQ, PQ.Leads efforts to verify
and document the traceability of materials, packaging and products e.g.
includes annual dummy or mock recall exercises.Utilizes SAP QM and
Unilever specifications including InterSpec system and supports verification of
use for quality purposes. SAP-QM Superuser.Supports and
participates in Quality Pillar activities for WCM program.Drives quality focused
improvement activities through the use of advanced statistical tools (SPC and
Capability analysis).Utilizes advanced
knowledge of category and technology details and requirements to support site
innovation and changes.Supports preparation of
local procedure and work instructions that ensure Unilever and other applicable
standards are accurately represented in local procedures and work instructions.Utilizes SAP QM and Unilever
specifications including InterSpec system and supports verification of use for
quality purposes.Supports the
implementation and maintenance of system where key quality data and information
are recorded and preserved.Supports ensuring
Unilever required IT systems, practices, loss trees and improvement tools are
used to reduce / eliminate quality losses.Supports / participates
in structured quality improvement activities related to customer, consumer
issues and CRQS gaps.Supports process capability
studies to maintain alignment between process capability and specification
limits in processing and filling operations.Applies current tools
and practices to support management of quality related projects.Supports VIP projects as
appropriate for Site Quality.
Essential:
• University degree in technical discipline or general sciences.
Preferred:
• Biology, Chemistry, Engineering, Food Science
or Microbiology degree.
Experience Required:

• 3 years’ experience in Quality or Manufacturing
• FDA Experience
Preferred / Desirable:
• Manufacturing experience
• QA exposure in plant environment
• Proven SPC capabilities
• Strong Analytic & technical thought process.
• Excellent oral, written communication and effective interpersonal skills; and
be able to communicate business results, changes and the relationship between
individuals, their job, and the company.
