This is an entry-to-intermediate, full sales cycle, inside sales role, pursuing new company Software customers. This role provides excellent income and career growth potential at a fun and exciting company.

As Sales Area Manager, Acquisition, you get to work in a specified territory with revenue and transaction quota responsibility working out of our Seattle (Fremont) headquarters. You will manage the sales process for new prospective customers throughout the sales cycle for both warm and cold leads. Typical activities which result in success include following up with marketing generated leads, independently generating leads, demonstrating company over the web, writing proposals, negotiating, and closing business. This is a high impact and quota-carrying position.

Represent company and its product suite in new customer accounts of all sizes and industries.
Educate prospects that have very little prior knowledge about our technology or the Business Intelligence market.
Meet and exceed direct sales goals within assigned geographic territory.
Manage all aspects of the sales process including lead generation via cold calling, occasional inbound leads from marketing, qualification, evaluation, and closing.
Develop and manage sales pipeline, prospect and assess sales potential with the ability to move a large number of transaction simultaneously through the sales pipeline.
Provide regular reporting of pipeline and forecast.
Manage and track customer and transactional information in a CRM system; logging all sales activity within the established processes; keeping customer account current and accurate; generate incoming lead flow through targeted mass emails (some will be templates while others you create yourself).
Educating yourself on company’s competition.
Coordinate resources throughout the sales cycle, including product support and sales engineering.
Provide product demonstration to prospects via Webex.
Practice effective, excellent communication with management, legal, and support staff.
Work effectively within a team environment to maximize revenue potential and ensure customer success.
Other related duties as assigned.

Experience. You have at least eighteen months of direct sales experience with an assigned quota, preferably in a high volume, transactional sales environment.

Go-Getter. You’re proactively able to identify and generate leads and opportunities without dependence on inbound leads. You’re willing to go the extra mile with a strong work ethic and no fear of creating conversations from scratch.
Domain. Experience in a technical sales role (product support or training) is a plus. Bachelor's Degree with a communications, technical or business focus preferred.
