The Role: Praxis is looking for a qualified and experienced Electrical Engineer to assist with the planning, design, installation, commissioning and maintenance of electrical systems and equipment used across industrial, mining, renewable energy and utility projects. Key Responsibilities: • Prepare, develop and review electrical designs, systems and power distribution solutions for industrial and infrastructure projects. • Read and interpret electrical drawings, project specifications, technical documents and relevant standards. • Assess and determine suitable circuits, transformers, switchgear, circuit breakers, cabling and other electrical components. • Complete electrical calculations, layouts, technical reports and engineering documentation. • Assist with the procurement, fabrication, installation and commissioning of electrical equipment and systems. • Coordinate installation and commissioning timelines for electrical machines, switchgear, cables and fittings. • Oversee and support the installation, operation and maintenance of electrical systems on site. • Provide engineering support during construction, testing and commissioning stages. • Ensure all electrical work is completed in accordance with Australian standards, safety requirements, project specifications and company procedures. • Communicate with clients, contractors, tradespeople, engineers and project teams to support effective project delivery. • Identify technical issues and recommend suitable engineering solutions to improve safety, reliability and performance. • Keep accurate records, reports, drawings and commissioning documentation. What We’re Looking For: • Bachelor’s degree or higher qualification in Electrical Engineering or a closely related discipline. • Relevant experience in an electrical engineering role, preferably within mining, utilities, renewable energy, construction or industrial environments. • Good knowledge of electrical systems, power distribution, switchgear, transformers, cabling and control systems. • Ability to understand and apply electrical drawings, technical specifications and engineering standards. • Strong awareness of workplace health and safety obligations. • Good communication, problem-solving and coordination skills. • Ability to work independently and as part of a team with engineers, tradespeople, contractors and clients.
