The business currently manages major supply chain, procurement, and logistics operations for an established Sri Lankan company and has recently secured additional contracts with UK-based off-licence retailers requiring procurement support, inventory management, supplier coordination, logistics planning, and delivery services. With a growing customer base and increasing demand for its services, Zestify Global Ltd is expanding its commercial operations and seeks to appoint a dedicated Business Development Executive to support business growth, customer acquisition, supplier engagement, contract development, and customer relationship management. This role is critical to strengthening the company's commercial presence, securing new business opportunities, developing long-term partnerships, and supporting sustainable growth across the supply chain and logistics sectors. Role Overview The Business Development Executive will be responsible for identifying and developing new business opportunities, managing customer relationships, supporting supplier and partner engagement, coordinating business development activities, and contributing to the company's sales and growth strategy. Working closely with management, the successful candidate will help expand the company's customer base, secure new contracts, support customer onboarding, negotiate commercial terms, and strengthen relationships with suppliers, distributors, and logistics partners. The role will play a key part in supporting Zestify Global Ltd's continued expansion within the logistics, procurement, distribution, and supply chain management sectors. Key Responsibilities Business Development & Customer Acquisition Identify and develop new business opportunities within logistics, procurement, supply chain, distribution, wholesale, and retail sectors. Generate and qualify sales leads through networking, referrals, direct outreach, and market research. Build and maintain a strong pipeline of prospective customers and commercial opportunities. Conduct meetings and presentations with prospective customers to promote company services. Develop strategies to increase market penetration and customer acquisition. Achieve agreed business development and revenue growth targets. Customer Relationship Management Build and maintain strong relationships with new and existing customers. Act as a key point of contact for commercial enquiries and business opportunities. Understand customer supply chain, procurement, and logistics requirements. Support customer onboarding and account development activities. Maintain regular communication with customers to ensure high levels of satisfaction. Identify opportunities for repeat business and long-term partnerships. Supplier & Partner Development Develop and maintain productive relationships with suppliers, distributors, and logistics partners. Support supplier engagement and commercial relationship management activities. Assist with identifying new suppliers and distribution partners. Coordinate communications between suppliers, customers, and internal stakeholders. Support negotiations relating to supply agreements and service arrangements. Sales, Quotations & Commercial Negotiations Prepare commercial proposals, quotations, and service presentations. Follow up business opportunities and quotation submissions. Assist in negotiating pricing, service agreements, and commercial terms. Maintain records of ongoing negotiations and potential contracts. Support the successful conversion of opportunities into long-term business relationships. Marketing & Outreach Support marketing campaigns aimed at increasing visibility and generating new business opportunities. Conduct direct outreach to SMEs, retail businesses, wholesalers, distributors, and commercial organisations. Participate in networking events, trade shows, and business development activities. Promote company services through online platforms, professional networks, and referrals. Support the development of marketing materials and promotional activities. Market Research & Growth Initiatives Research industry trends, customer requirements, and competitor activity. Identify emerging opportunities within logistics, procurement, and supply chain sectors. Support strategic growth initiatives and expansion projects. Contribute ideas and recommendations that support business growth and operational development. Administration & Reporting Maintain accurate CRM records and customer databases. Track lead generation, sales activity, quotations, and business development performance. Prepare reports on customer acquisition, opportunity pipelines, and commercial activities. Monitor sales performance against agreed objectives. Maintain detailed records of customer interactions and commercial discussions. Requirements Essential Previous experience in Business Development, Sales, Account Management, Customer Relationship Management, or a similar commercial role. Strong communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills. Demonstrable ability to generate new business opportunities. Experience managing customer relationships and commercial discussions. Excellent organisational and administrative skills. Commercial awareness and understanding of sales processes. Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities. Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and CRM systems. Right to work in the United Kingdom. Desirable Experience within logistics, procurement, supply chain, distribution, freight, or wholesale sectors. Experience working with B2B customers and commercial accounts. Knowledge of supplier management and procurement processes. Experience preparing quotations and commercial proposals.
