Senior Tax Compliance Officer
Luxembourg City · Permanent, full-time
Up to EUR 10,000 gross per month

About us

Zimmer & Partners is an independent Luxembourg firm providing tax advisory, trust and family office services. We work directly with international groups and private clients on their Luxembourg holding, financing and real estate structures. We are deliberately small, which means senior people here own their files rather than supervise from a distance.

The role

We are looking for a genuinely senior and versatile corporate tax professional to take charge of the Luxembourg tax compliance function for our client portfolio, which consists principally of SOPARFIs. This is a broad mandate. We need someone with command of the full range of Luxembourg corporate tax who can deal with whatever arrives on the desk, rather than a narrow specialist.
This is a pure corporate tax role and does not cover VAT or accounting. We do not service regulated fund vehicles, so if your background is in fund taxation this will not be the right fit - and equally, if you have spent years wanting to do substantive holding company work without fund reporting cycles, it may be exactly the right one.

You will report directly to the partners and have immediate client contact.

What you will do

• Prepare and review Luxembourg corporate tax returns - CIT, MBT and NWT - for a portfolio of SOPARFIs and their subsidiaries
• Review tax assessments, manage correspondence and handle disputes with the Administration des contributions directes
• Cover the full spectrum of Luxembourg corporate tax arising across the portfolio - holding and financing structures, real estate participations, acquisitions and disposals, restructurings, liquidations and distributions
• Manage interest limitation, anti-hybrid and other ATAD-driven analyses, together with DAC6 assessments
• Handle Pillar Two obligations - GloBE scoping and safe harbour analysis, and the related Luxembourg registration and filing requirements
• Monitor developments in Luxembourg tax law and translate them into practical consequences for client Structures

What we are looking for

• At least 10 years of Luxembourg corporate tax experience
• A background with a Big 4 firm or a leading Luxembourg tax practice
• A broad and versatile command of Luxembourg corporate tax - someone who can turn their hand to any question in the field, across holding, financing, real estate and transactional work
• A degree in tax, law, economics or accounting (Master (Bac+5))
• Practical exposure to Pillar Two and its Luxembourg implementation
• Genuinely current on Luxembourg tax legislation and administrative practice
• Fluent English; French and/or German a strong advantage

What we offer

• Up to EUR 10,000 gross per month for the right candidate
• Direct partner exposure and real ownership of your portfolio
• A technically serious environment without the volume pressure of a large practice
• Central Luxembourg City location
