Position Brand Description:
The Micro FUME leader provides direction for lab workload planning and scheduling, supervises lab technicians, ensures laboratory work is performed according to cGMPs, supports the plants and helps coordinate FUME related activities, providing overall customer service to Indianapolis Parenteral Manufacturing.
Key Objectives/Deliverables:
- Responsible for alignment of Performance Management objectives with department, site and corporate strategies for direct reports.
- Responsible for the coaching, mentoring and development of staff.
- Manage staffing and scheduling coinciding with customer needs and laboratory operations.
- Deliver constructive feedback and performance management.
- Participate in the merit delivery and promotion process.
- Maintain a safe working environment.
- Participate in meetings as needed
- Conduct team training as necessary to increase expertise and maintain compliance.
- Ensure compliance with SOPs.
- Prioritize sampling/testing based on manufacturing schedules.
- Understand Parenteral manufacturing processes, scheduling processes, chemical sampling processes, and laboratory processes to proactively identify problems or gaps, develop action plans and resources, and to provide timely and appropriate resolution.
- Understanding of laboratory methods and material specifications.
Minimum Requirements:
- 4-6 years Quality Control experience
- Demonstrates the ability to proactively anticipate roadblocks and initiate change.
- Demonstrates the ability to make decisions using solid rationale.
- Proficiency in the following computer systems: Darwin, Smartlab, Veeva (OneQMS), TrackWise, Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Powerpoint, and SAP.
- Motivated to expand his/her leadership responsibilities.
- Broad spectrum of written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong knowledge of sampling/laboratory operations as well as strong knowledge of materials/products sampled and tested within the Parenteral operations.
- Self-driven and able to work independently.
- Demonstrates ownership and accountability.
- Ability to prioritize work to meet customer needs and demonstrates flexibility
- Strong leadership skills.
- Responsible for maintaining a safe work environment, working safely and accountable for supporting all HSE Corporate and Site Goals.
Education Requirements:
- High School Graduate + minimum of 4-6 years Quality experience, which includes knowledge of cGMP requirements, laboratory operations, production scheduling and quality systems.
Other Information:
- Must be able to be reached by phone on off shifts.
- Overtime required as needed to meet the business needs.
- Laboratory work requires the handling of hazardous materials, including oncolytic products, possible allergens, and chemicals.
- Laboratory work requires routine lifting
- Laboratory work requires movement of carts of materials for long distances, as well as within narrow areas within the laboratories.
- Minimal travel may be required.

Actual compensation will depend on a candidate’s education, experience, skills, and geographic location. The anticipated wage for this position is
$35.33 - $51.83Full-time equivalent employees also will be eligible for a company bonus (depending, in part, on company and individual performance).
