Eli Lilly Italia is looking for a motivated and proactive Maintenance & Reliability Intern to join our Packaging, Device & Logistics area at the Sesto Fiorentino manufacturing site. This six-month extracurricular internship offers a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience in a highly regulated pharmaceutical environment, supporting the optimization of preventive maintenance activities on production equipment.
The selected intern will report directly to the Maintenance Manager and will be actively involved in collecting and analyzing maintenance data, supporting technical evaluations, and contributing to the prioritization of activities aimed at improving equipment reliability and overall efficiency. This internship will take place primarily on the production floor, providing the opportunity to collaborate closely with cross-functional teams such as Engineering, HSE, and Operations, while learning about manufacturing systems and maintenance strategies within a GMP-regulated environment.
Key Responsibilities
Data Collection: Gather information on maintenance types and frequencies directly from production systems and on-site observations.
Technical Analysis: Study and analyze collected data to identify optimization opportunities and propose prioritization criteria for maintenance activities.
Maintenance Optimization: Support the design and implementation of preventive maintenance strategies to improve equipment performance and reliability.
Cross-functional Collaboration: Work closely with Engineering, HSE, and Operations teams to align activities with safety and quality standards.
Knowledge Development: Acquire in-depth understanding of production equipment and maintenance strategies within a GMP-regulated pharmaceutical setting.
Requirements
Master’s Degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Biomedical, Automation)
Excellent command of English (spoken and written)
Strong organizational skills and proactive mindset
Flexibility and problem-solving attitude
Effective communication skills and a team-oriented approach
The internship includes a monthly allowance of €1300, along with free access to the company cafeteria and canteen.
