Micron is seeking an experienced Operations Engineer to join the TPG Industrial Engineering team. This role is ideal for a professional with five or more years of experience in manufacturing, operations, industrial engineering, project management, supply chain, or a related field who thrives in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
As a TPG IE Operations Engineer, you will help drive operational execution across technology development and manufacturing planning sites. You will coordinate cross-site efforts, analyze performance trends, improve planning and reporting processes, and support data-driven decisions that strengthen execution, learning cycles, and operational readiness across the network.
Responsibilities
- Support technology development operational execution across multiple planning sites in partnership with technology development and manufacturing teams.
- Drive cross-site operational alignment to enable effective global learning cycles and execution consistency.
- Coordinate process transfers between sites to support readiness, integration, and timeline achievement.
- Partner with cross-functional teams to develop processes, tools, and applications that improve production and operational metrics.
- Develop standard processes, dashboards, reports, and data visualizations to communicate project status and performance trends.
- Use statistical analysis to optimize performance metrics, assess manufacturing capacity, and identify operational risks.
- Present findings, recommend actions, and help drive solutions to address fab performance gaps.
- Evaluate scenarios and model the impact of operational changes in collaboration with engineering and operations teams.
- Implement predictive models and decision-support tools to improve business outcomes and manufacturing key performance indicators.
Qualifications
- Excellent multitasking, time management, organization, and prioritization skills.
- Strong ability to build and maintain effective working relationships across diverse teams.
- Proven ability to communicate complex analysis in a concise, actionable manner.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Demonstrated ability to identify opportunities, develop plans, and implement solutions that improve efficiency.
- Experience organizing and facilitating meetings and cross-functional project teams.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, including the ability to address complex issues and identify root causes.
- Solid understanding of statistics, data analysis, and structured problem solving.
- Experience with analytics and visualization tools such as Tableau or Power BI.
- Working knowledge of production line management techniques and operational performance concepts.
- Eagerness to learn and build semiconductor manufacturing knowledge.
- Understanding of manufacturing science principles, including scheduling, inventory management, capacity planning, and efficiency improvement.
Education and Experience
- Master’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Operations Management, Supply Chain, or a related field; equivalent experience may also be considered.
- Required: Five or more years of experience in manufacturing, operations, industrial engineering, supply chain, project management, or a related field.
- Preferred: Experience in semiconductor manufacturing, including capacity planning, automation, scheduling, cycle time, and manufacturing efficiency.
