This role is responsible for managing complex customer order portfolios within the semiconductor capital equipment business and ensuring alignment between customer demand, operational capabilities, contractual commitments, and revenue objectives. Working closely with Sales, Finance, Manufacturing, Logistics, Legal, and global operations teams, you will assess business risks, provide operational recommendations, and drive successful execution across the order-to-revenue process.
The ideal candidate combines strong operational expertise, commercial acumen, and customer focus, with the ability to navigate ambiguity, influence stakeholders, and make sound business decisions in a fast-paced global environment.
This role is best suited for professionals with strong business operations, commercial operations, sales operations, or customer operations experience who enjoy solving complex business challenges and driving operational excellence.
Key Responsibilities
- Own and drive the end-to-end order-to-revenue process, including forecasting, order management, shipment execution, billing, and revenue realization.
- Partner closely with Sales leadership to support customer commitments, business priorities, booking plans, and revenue objectives.
- Serve as a trusted advisor to Sales leadership by providing recommendations on customer commitments, booking strategies, revenue planning, and operational risk management.
- Manage complex customer orders and commercial scenarios while balancing customer expectations, operational feasibility, contractual requirements, and business goals.
- Evaluate operational risks and provide recommendations to support business decisions and successful order execution.
- Act as the primary escalation point for critical order, fulfillment, and customer commitment issues.
- Collaborate with Finance, Manufacturing, Logistics, Trade Compliance, Legal, and regional operations teams to ensure seamless execution and issue resolution.
- Influence cross-functional stakeholders and drive alignment across organizations without direct authority to achieve business objectives.
- Drive operational decisions that directly impact revenue realization, shipment attainment, forecast accuracy, and customer satisfaction.
- Monitor order pipeline, shipment readiness, and business performance metrics to proactively identify risks and opportunities.
- Maintain high data integrity and forecasting accuracy within ERP systems and business planning tools.
- Ensure compliance with contractual obligations, trade regulations, tax requirements, and internal policies.
- Identify opportunities to improve operational efficiency, order execution processes, and overall customer experience.
- Serve as a subject matter expert for order management and business operations processes, providing guidance and best practices across the organization.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain, Operations Management, Engineering, or a related field.
- 8+ years of experience in Business Operations, Sales Operations, Customer Operations, Commercial Operations, Order Management, or related operational functions.
- Candidates with direct experience supporting customer-facing operations, order-to-revenue processes, revenue execution, forecasting, and commercial business operations are strongly preferred.
- Experience supporting customer-facing businesses in semiconductor, manufacturing, capital equipment, or high-tech industries.
- Strong understanding of order management, customer commitments, forecasting, logistics, revenue realization, and commercial business processes.
- Proven ability to evaluate complex business situations and make sound operational recommendations.
- Demonstrated experience influencing cross-functional stakeholders and driving alignment within a matrixed organization.
- Experience working with ERP systems, preferably SAP.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making capabilities.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, including experience partnering with Sales leadership and senior business stakeholders.
- Ability to balance attention to detail with a broader understanding of business priorities and customer impact.
- Self-motivated, proactive, and comfortable operating independently in a dynamic global environment.
- Direct experience in business operations, sales operations, customer operations, or order management environments is preferred over purely project-based roles.
