Job Description

Role Summary:

The VP, CFO, KBO serves as the strategic finance leader for the KBO region, acting as a trusted advisor to the Group Country Manager, KBO and a key member of both the KBO leadership team and CEMEA Finance leadership.

This role is accountable for setting the financial direction of the business, driving sustainable growth, and ensuring strong financial governance. The VP will lead financial strategy, planning, and performance management while influencing critical business decisions across the region.

The role requires a forward-looking leader who can balance growth acceleration with disciplined execution in a dynamic, complex, and evolving market environment.


 

Key Responsibilities:

Strategic Leadership & Business Partnership:

  • Shape and drive the financial strategy for KBO, aligned with regional and global priorities
  • Serve as a trusted advisor to the Group Country Manager and leadership team on growth, investment decisions, and performance optimization
  • Influence and challenge strategic choices through data-driven insights and forward-looking analysis
  • Represent Finance in executive forums, contributing to regional strategy and decision-making

Financial Planning & Performance Management:

  • Lead the end-to-end planning cycle, including annual operating plan, forecasts, and long-range planning
  • Drive financial performance through clear target-setting, rigorous tracking, and proactive risk/opportunity identification
  • Ensure high-quality executive reporting and insights to support timely and effective decision-making
  • Embed financial discipline across revenue, client incentives, and operating expenses

Growth, Pricing & Investment Governance:

  • Partner with regional and global teams on pricing, interchange, and commercial strategies to maximize revenue growth
  • Provide robust financial evaluation of strategic initiatives, investments, and partnership opportunities
  • Balance short-term financial performance with long-term value creation

Operational Excellence & Governance:

  • Ensure robust financial governance, controls, and compliance with internal and external requirements
  • Continuously enhance financial processes, tools, and data integrity to enable scalability and efficiency
  • Drive transparency, accountability, and consistency in financial management across the region

Leadership & Team Development:

  • Lead and develop a high-performing finance team, fostering a culture of accountability, collaboration, and innovation
  • Build organizational capability in financial planning, analytics, and business partnering
  • Influence cross-functional stakeholders across geographies in a matrixed organization

Qualifications

What you will need

  • 15 + years of work experience with a bachelor's degree or at least 12 years of experience with an Advanced degree (e.g. Masters/MBA/JD/MD) or at least 10 years of work experience with a PhD.
  • 15+ years of progressive experience in finance, including senior leadership roles
  • Deep expertise in financial planning, performance management, and strategic finance
  • Strong understanding of the payments industry and revenue drivers preferred
  • Proven track record of partnering with senior executives to shape strategy and drive results
  • Experience managing geographically distributed teams in a matrixed organization
  • Advanced degree in Finance, Accounting, or Business (MBA or equivalent preferred)
  • Strong analytical capability combined with excellent communication and influencing skills.
  • Experience leading change programs within a business and building and leading high-performing teams through cultural and transformational change.
  • Creative and resourceful in overcoming barriers and unexpected roadblocks.
  • An authentic leader who intuitively fosters an inclusive environment.
  • Takes a hands-on approach to all activities with real passion and high levels of energy.
