Job Description
Team Summary:
Visa Consulting & Analytics (VCA) delivers tangible, impactful, and financial results for Visa’s clients, including card issuers, acquirers, and merchants. Leveraging deep expertise in strategy consulting, digital transformation, data analytics, and operational excellence, VCA solves the most strategic challenges for our clients. The Korea VCA team provides a comprehensive range of consulting services, focusing on strategic growth, profitability, risk management, and digital innovation.
What a Manager of VCA does at Visa:
We seek an experienced, highly motivated consultant with a strong interest in the payments industry. Projects typically run 1–3 months and span areas such as corporate and growth strategy, new business development, market expansion, AI/digital transformation, marketing and product strategy, payment industry analysis, and customer experience enhancement.
Depending on the size and complexity of the engagement, the Manager serves as an Acting Project Manager and/or Module Lead. The Manager works closely with the Project Manager to align on project direction and priorities, leads content development and problem-solving efforts required for successful project delivery, and may also be responsible for managing team members when needed.
Key Responsibilities:
Project Delivery:
- Develop project proposals, clarifying objectives, scope, deliverables, and approach in collaboration with clients, relationship managers, and internal teams
- Lead or support project setup, including contractual documentation, stakeholder engagement, interview planning, and data requirements
- Build robust fact bases through client interviews, data analysis, and industry research
- Analyze Visa and client data to benchmark performance, identify gaps, and develop improvement opportunities
- Partner with data science teams to leverage advanced analytics
- Formulate practical, insight‑driven recommendations using VCA methodologies and global best practices
- Design and deliver clear, compelling client presentations, support implementation where required
Practice & Business Development:
- Identify client opportunities and contribute to account planning
- Develop models, support IP creation, and enhance standardized VCA offerings
- Build expertise, generate insights, and contribute to thought leadership and practice development
Visa requires at least 3 days in office, expectations of these days will be confirmed by your Hiring Manager.
Qualifications
What you will need:
- Bachelor’s degree from a top tier institution with 4+ years of work experience after completing your degree, including at least 2 years in consulting
- Strong experience in payments, digital innovation, corporate strategy, or business management
- Outstanding analytical and problem‑solving skills with strong intellectual rigor
- Proven ability to leverage analytics to inform strategy and drive actionable insights
- High attention to detail, ensuring quality and rigor in analysis and deliverables
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Business‑level English proficiency.
What Will Also Help:
- Strong understanding of digital technologies, particularly AI, and a demonstrated ability to apply them effectively in professional settings.
- Deep understanding of the payments industry or financial services sector.
