Based in Chennai, you will be a Senior Consultant in our Order, Dispatch to Cash capability, designing and delivering SAP TM solutions that underpin the reliable distribution of materials and finished goods across our global operations. Your work will directly enable on-time, cost-efficient, and process compliant delivery from site-to-site and to external customers, improving visibility and accelerating supply to patients.

You will partner with enterprise process leaders and multi-functional teams to harness S/4HANA standard features, integrate with adjacent modules and non-SAP systems, and scale robust processes globally. Accountabilities:

  • SAP TM Solution Ownership: Design and lead the global S/4HANA Embedded TM solution for Order, Dispatch to Cash, ensuring it enables standardized processes for material movements between sites and finished goods' distribution to distribution centres and external customers.
  • Process Design and Integration: Lead process design with business teams aligned to SAP standard functionality; integrate TM with BN4L, S/4 core modules, and external partners to create end-to-end, resilient flows from transportation planning through carrier invoice settlement.
  • Innovation and Standards: Continuously evaluate the latest industry and SAP capabilities; adopt new features that improve planning, execution, monitoring, and cost control while minimizing local customization.
  • Domain Expertise: Serve as a primary guide in TM sub-processes, including freight unit and order management, freight cost calculation, and settlement; guide decisions with clear rationale and data.
  • Process Improvement: Define, analyze, and communicate current, interim, and future-state processes; identify and prioritize improvement opportunities tied to service, cost, and compliance outcomes.
  • Data and Analytics Collaboration: Partner with IT, Master Data, and Analytics to build data models, integration patterns, and reporting that drive visibility, proactive monitoring, and decision-making.
  • Non-SAP Integration: Ensure requirements for non-SAP systems and external logistics partners are fully incorporated into process and data designs.
  • Documentation and Knowledge: Create clear process maps and design documentation; facilitate sharing of knowledge and capability uplift across teams and regions.
  • Deployment and Change Enablement: Plan and support deployments, testing, and organizational change activities to secure adoption and measurable benefits.
  • Collaborator Leadership: Build influential, collaborative relationships across regions and functions; communicate with clarity to align diverse collaborators and accelerate delivery.

Essential Skills/Experience:

  • S/4HANA TM Certified and implementation experience for sophisticated global organizations from design to completion.
  • Experience of pharmaceutical supply chain business activities and the required business outcomes within the relevant capability area
  • Significant experience in TM, which includes complete transportation planning and execution with deep knowledge of freight units and order management, freight cost and settlement management.
  • Good Hands-on experience implementing SAP BN4L and integrating it with S/4HANA Embedded TM
  • Demonstrate high degree of knowledge in SAP S/4HANA TM configuration requirements.
  • Possess solid grasp across other SAP modules on all integration aspects and interfaces between internal and external systems and partners.
  • Good Communication and Relationship Building skills with an ability to Influence others to achieve Objectives.
  • Demonstrated ability to work in a diverse, distributed team, within and across functions. Experience with global working and across cultures.
  • Solid Understanding about the SAP technologies and functionalities
  • Good collaborator management and communication skills with Business and IT areas
  • Solid skills in understanding business operations, communications, customer and partner engagement, and internal collaborator management
  • Comfortable with ambiguity and possessing an agile and open outlook.
  • Self-motivated with the ability to prioritise and ensure project goals are achieved.
  • Demonstrate personal credibility and positive energy to handle large work efforts and meet bold timelines.
  • Innovative capabilities, agile outlook requiring critical thinking and foresight.
  • Knowledge of the SAP application roadmap as it is relevant to your line of business and the ability to translate that roadmap into the AZ strategic view
  • Good presentation skills and the ability to explain sophisticated concepts to multi-functional audiences.
  • Knowledge of standard project tools like JIRA, Smartsheets and Solman

Desirable Skills/Experience:

  • Certification /Experience in SAP S/4HANA – S4 Sales and Distribution or readiness to complete additional certifications.
  • SAP Global Trade Services experience
  • Experience in Data Governance
  • Exposure to different testing tools
  • Worked in a hybrid environment with a mix of internal & external resources across multiple geographical locations.
