Eli Lilly Canada is looking for an optimistic, resilient, and adaptable skilled professional with expertise in pharmaceutical market insights and analytics. This position is responsible for being the market insights leader for key brands at different stages of product life cycle. This role will be responsible for defining and prioritizing business problems, discovering insights, and influencing business partners to make better business decisions and develop more effective solutions through the inclusion of customer input. They will support the global and regional market research projects and plan and execute with local brand management, affiliate specific market research projects.
You will be a core member of the product team to help inform critical strategic decisions for improved performance based on current trends and anticipated future performance trends. You will also gain detailed knowledge of the Canadian competitive environment. This includes understanding Lilly’s relative position in the marketplace, competitive performance, new brand uptake, the timing of potential new brands and the impact on the forecast.
Location:
This is a hybrid role – onsite presence at our Toronto office will be 10 days or more per month (or at least 50% of the time), determined in collaboration with your manager and based on business needs.
At Lilly Canada, we have different levels for this positions based on the candidate’s experience, background, and qualifications. The expected compensation is:
Associate: $70,500 - $103,400
Sr Associate : $91,500 - $134,200
Manager : $111,750 - $163,900
This role is eligible for additional forms of compensation, such as participation in the Lilly Bonus Program.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
Business Insights & Analytics
Analyze market data (IQVIA, PSP, CRM, Digital) to uncover business performance drivers
Lead the sales incentive target setting exercise ensuring alignment and buy-in from sales/marketing lead
Design dashboards and reports to monitor KPIs and product performance
Provide strategic insights by collecting and analyzing data on competitors, industry trends, and market dynamics.
Run the competitive intelligence initiatives, which includes monitoring competitor clinical designs, regulatory filings, and product pipelines
Deliver regular insights through updates and alerts through dashboards, newsletters, and internal channels
Support product lifecycle decisions and go-to-market strategies
Lead inputs for brand plans and financial planning (budgeting, LRP, quarterly outlooks)
Monitor and track performance against monthly forecasts
Identify new sources of insights to be integrated in the overall Insight Framework
Determine new approaches, powered by AI, that enable deeper insights and decision-making
Develop a deep understanding of therapeutic areas, competitive landscape, and evolving customer needs
Market Research
Lead primary and secondary market research projects with responsibility for secondary data analysis as needed
Identify, define and prioritize the needs for input from a specific customer group (i.e., HCP, Consumer, Payer)
Identify market trends, customer needs, and competitive dynamics
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to frame research objectives
Translate business problems into research plans and methodologies
Present insights to senior leadership and cross-functional teams
Identify new approaches to get market insights in a dynamic and frequent manner
Strategic Support
Partner with cross-functional teams (Marketing, Sales, Finance, Market Access, Medical) to determine strategies, align on assumptions and create alignment
Enable agile decision‑making by delivering timely insights on what to stop, start, or adjust
Support product launch planning and lifecycle management with insight-driven recommendations
Prepare and present findings to senior leadership to support strategic decisions
Identify strategic partnerships with 3rd party data providers to ensure that we exploit the full potential of all data available in Canada
Work with the Global team to leverage all BIA capabilities and create synergies with similar affiliates to benchmark performance and leverage their local approaches when pertinent
Work in tight partnership with the Engagement team on commercial and medical initiatives
Data Management & Tools
Leverage AI solutions and tools to automate and enhance reporting capabilities
Ensure data integrity and efficient use of secondary data sources
Actively contribute to the Insight Factory to design and implement new analytics capabilities
REQUIREMENTS:
Strong analytical competency with at least 5 years of combined experience with market insights, competitive intelligence, data analysis and market research in pharmaceutical/biotech industry
Deep understanding of the principles of Market Research
Strong knowledge of all data sources available in Canada
Must understand Canadian Pharmaceutical market environment
Fluency with data analytics and automation tools (power BI a must)
Demonstrated confidence in communicating your position on strategic decisions
Marketing and/or Sales experience
Relevant bachelor’s degree in the field of science, business administration

$70,500 - $163,900Full-time equivalent employees may also be eligible for a company bonus (depending, in part, on company and individual performance).
