About the Opportunity
We are seeking a motivated and results-driven Inside Sales Representative / Account Manager to support and grow an established portfolio of government accounts within a highly regulated healthcare and diagnostic services environment. This role focuses on retaining and expanding business, developing strong customer relationships, and identifying opportunities to increase revenue through strategic account management and consultative sales practices.
This is an excellent opportunity for a sales professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment, enjoys building long-term customer relationships, and has experience working with government agencies or large enterprise accounts.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and grow an assigned territory of existing government and public sector accounts.
- Increase revenue through effective cross-selling and upselling of products and services.
- Conduct outbound calls, emails, and virtual meetings to understand customer needs, maintain engagement, and secure recurring business.
- Build and strengthen relationships with current customers through proactive outreach and quarterly business reviews.
- Develop and execute territory action plans that include sales goals, target accounts, customer needs, and market trends.
- Analyze customer accounts to identify growth opportunities, funding cycles, purchasing patterns, and budget considerations.
- Monitor account performance and proactively address adoption gaps while introducing new products and services.
- Maintain accurate sales forecasts, customer activity, and pipeline information within CRM systems, including Salesforce.
- Establish relationships with key stakeholders and purchasing decision-makers to support future business opportunities.
- Collaborate with internal teams including contracts, operations, and customer support to deliver exceptional customer solutions.
- Coordinate customer requests related to contracts, renewals, and service agreements.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree preferred, or equivalent combination of education and relevant work experience.
- Experience in inside sales, account management, business development, or customer relationship management.
- Previous experience working with government, public sector, or large enterprise accounts is preferred.
- Experience using CRM platforms such as Salesforce.
- Strong consultative selling, prospecting, and relationship-building skills.
- Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication abilities.
- Ability to work independently while contributing to a collaborative team environment.
- Highly organized with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Driven, competitive, and results-oriented with a proven ability to achieve sales goals.
Preferred Skills
- Government contracting or procurement knowledge.
- Experience supporting healthcare, diagnostics, laboratory, or toxicology-related industries.
- Understanding of sales cycles, budgeting processes, and account planning.
- Strong forecasting and pipeline management capabilities.
Work Environment
- Office-based position with extended periods of computer and phone use.
- Frequent communication with customers via phone, email, and virtual platforms.
- Occasional travel may be required for customer meetings, conferences, or business reviews.
- Ability to lift and carry business materials up to 20 pounds as needed.

Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $20.00 - $20.00/hr.
