Job Title: Fiber Optic Technician (Lead & Helper)
Location: Massachusetts (Travel between MDU properties required)
Overview
We are hiring two Fiber Optic Technicians to support a statewide initiative providing affordable Wi-Fi access to low-income housing communities throughout Massachusetts. One position will serve as the Lead Technician, while the second will be an Entry-Level Helper/Technician.
Responsibilities
- Pull and route fiber optic cable throughout multi-dwelling units (MDUs)
- Install, terminate, and support fiber optic infrastructure
- Assist with CAT5, CAT6, coaxial, and structured cabling installations
- Read and follow installation plans and cable pathways
- Maintain a safe work environment and comply with OSHA standards
- Support telecommunications hardware and network connectivity projects

- Lead Technician: Prior fiber optic and structured cabling experience required
Ideal Candidate
Candidates with hands-on experience in fiber installation, low-voltage cabling, telecommunications, ISP deployments, broadband infrastructure, or structured cabling projects will be highly successful in this role.
This is an excellent opportunity for fiber optic and structured cabling technicians to support a high-impact broadband initiative across Massachusetts. Candidates with CAT5/CAT6, coax, and fiber installation experience, along with an OSHA 10 certification, will be strong fits for both the Lead and Helper openings.
Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract to Hire position based out of Andover, MA.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $28.00 - $34.00/hr.
