Are you a driven sales professional who enjoys building relationships, growing accounts, and delivering value to customers? We are seeking an Inside Sales Representative / Account Manager to support a high-performing Government Services team within the diagnostics industry.

In this role, you will focus on maintaining and growing existing customer relationships, identifying new revenue opportunities, and helping government and public-sector clients meet their diagnostic and testing needs. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who thrives in a consultative sales environment and enjoys managing an established territory while driving strategic growth.

What You'll Do

  • Grow revenue within an assigned territory through strategic cross-selling and upselling initiatives.
  • Conduct outbound calls, emails, and account outreach to identify customer needs and secure repeat business.
  • Develop and strengthen relationships with existing mid-sized accounts through proactive engagement and quarterly business reviews.
  • Create and execute territory action plans aligned to sales goals, customer priorities, and market trends.
  • Analyze customer accounts to uncover growth opportunities, funding cycles, and purchasing patterns.
  • Monitor account performance and introduce relevant products and solutions to increase adoption and utilization.
  • Maintain accurate sales forecasts, pipelines, and account activity within Salesforce.
  • Identify and engage key decision-makers across government agencies and customer organizations.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with internal teams to deliver outstanding customer experiences.
  • Partner with contract and operations teams to support contract renewals and customer requests.

Qualifications

Required

  • Bachelor's degree or an equivalent combination of education and professional experience.
  • Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Proven ability to build customer relationships and drive sales growth.
  • Self-motivated with strong organizational and time-management skills.
  • Ability to work independently while contributing effectively to a team environment.
  • Results-oriented mindset with a strong work ethic and high level of professionalism.

Preferred

  • Experience selling into government accounts.
  • Knowledge of the toxicology, diagnostics, laboratory, or healthcare industries.
  • Experience with Salesforce or a similar CRM platform.
  • Experience in account management, inside sales, business development, or customer retention.

Work Environment

  • Office-based work environment.
  • Regular computer and phone usage throughout the workday.
  • Occasional travel may be required to support customer meetings and business initiatives.
  • Ability to lift and carry business materials or equipment up to 20 pounds as needed.

This is a Contract position based out of Santa Rosa, CA.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $20.00/hr.
