Primary Responsibilities.
• Lead the structural and behavioral capture of high-speed system architectures in Cameo Systems Modeler / MagicDraw, creating and maintaining unified SysML Logical, Physical, and Allocative views.
• Oversee the creation, maturation, and tracking of constrained-syntax requirements (utilizing EARS-aligned paradigms) to guarantee high-integrity requirement-to-verification traceability and robust test artifact mapping.
• Develop, expand, and maintain complex parametric manufacturing and O&S lifecycle models within scripting environments (Excel, Python, MATLAB) to quantify systemic impacts of design alternatives and drive sensitivity analysis.
• Formulate, manage, and facilitate multi-discipline requirements and architecture working groups to define cross-functional engineering interfaces and establish rigorous open-architecture configuration management.
• Direct the execution of comprehensive trade studies, technical decision briefs, and executive white papers evaluating warfighter utility, manufacturing readiness, and lifecycle cost/benefit tradeoffs.
• Build custom Velocity Template Language (VTL) scripts inside Cameo to automate the generation of dynamic contract deliverables, Interface Control Documents (ICDs), and program milestone design reviews.
• Provide technical leadership within a matrixed team environment
Basic Qualifications.
• BS degree in Aerospace Engineering, Systems Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Computer Engineering, Physics, or a related STEM discipline with 4+ years of experience
• Proven proficiency with MBSE methodologies and direct architecture capture using SysML-compliant tools (specifically Cameo Systems Modeler or MagicDraw).
• Hands-on experience developing or managing complex structural allocations (e.g., Block Definition and Internal Block Diagrams from L0 down to subsystem levels) and generating automated documents/reports via scripting (VTL, Python, or MATLAB).
• Demonstrated experience drafting, analyzing, and decomposing technical requirement structures (preferably using EARS or automated requirements management tracking databases like DOORS).
• Strong communication skills with a proven ability to lead small technical teams, align multidisciplinary engineering divisions, and present effectively internally/externally
• Ability to work full-time onsite in a controlled area (SCIF environment) with a willingness to travel 10-20% to customer and partner organizations.
• U.S. Citizenship is mandatory. Candidate must possess an active TS clearance
Preferred Qualifications.
• Master's Degree in Aerospace Engineering, Systems Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Computer Engineering, Physics, or a related STEM discipline with 4+ years of experience
• Industry experience covering high-speed dynamics, aerothermodynamics, hypersonics, or advanced propulsion areas
• Advanced, administrative, or power-user experience with Cameo Systems Modeler / MagicDraw, IBM DOORS, SIMIO, or equivalent enterprise MBSE and requirements databases
• Familiarity with DoD acquisition lifecycle and program processes
• Experience applying parametric cost modeling, Monte Carlo techniques, or advanced mathematical trade studies to defense hardware acquisition programs.
• ASEP/CSEP (INCOSE) or OMG Certified Systems Modeling Professional (OCSMP) credentials.
