Built upon the Voice Up B Curriculum, this fellowship prepares students, professionals, entrepreneurs, and community leaders to use human-centered artificial intelligence to strengthen individuals, organizations, and communities. Rather than teaching AI as an isolated technical skill, the fellowship integrates purpose, mentoring, evidence-informed learning, experiential education, and leadership development into one educational journey. Every fellow is challenged to identify a meaningful problem, work alongside mentors and community partners, develop an AI-supported solution, and produce a professional-quality project that creates measurable value beyond the classroom. This reflects the School's commitment that every course include experiential learning, weekly mentoring, a Signature Project, and responsible use of AI. Built Upon the Five Core Principles of Voice Up Every fellow is expected to lead according to the Five Voice Up Foundation Principles: Collaboration All are Welcome. These principles guide leadership, teamwork, ethical decision-making, mentoring, and the responsible application of artificial intelligence in every fellowship activity. The Human Flourishing Fellowship Model The fellowship follows the common Voice Up learning framework used throughout the School of Human Flourishing. Each fellow will: Discover personal purpose and strengths. Identify a meaningful community challenge. Review research and evidence. Meet weekly with mentors. Collaborate with peers and community partners. Apply AI responsibly to design a practical solution. Test, refine, and improve that solution through feedback. Develop a professional portfolio documenting leadership, skills, and impact. Continue contributing through employment, consulting, entrepreneurship, research, or service after completing the fellowship. Innovation Studios Every fellow joins one or more Innovation Studios aligned with personal interests and career goals, including: Artificial Intelligence and Human-Centered Innovation Public Health and Community Innovation Entrepreneurship Ministry and Community Leadership Arts, Music, and Independent Filmmaking Athletics and Human Performance Preventive Mental and Behavioral Health Applied Purpose Science Research These studios provide opportunities to collaborate across disciplines while developing projects that produce lasting community impact. Weekly Fellowship Experience Every fellow participates in: Weekly mentor conversations (30 60 minutes). Global learning community meetings. AI leadership workshops. Evidence-informed learning activities. Community engagement. Leadership reflection. Signature Project development. Portfolio creation. Professional networking. This structure reflects the School's emphasis on mentoring, belonging, accountability, and lifelong learning. Signature Project Every fellow completes a Signature Project that addresses a real challenge within a community or organization. Projects may focus on: Healthcare Behavioral health Education Workforce development Entrepreneurship Government Faith communities Public health International development Community leadership Responsible AI implementation Projects are evaluated using the School of Human Flourishing's two-part assessment model: Pass/Fail: Completion of a real product addressing an identified problem. Letter Grade: Evaluation of evidence, quality, originality, ethics, communication, professionalism, and community value. Graduate Promise Upon completion, every fellow will have: A clearly defined purpose. Practical leadership experience. AI literacy grounded in ethics. Weekly mentoring relationships. A professional portfolio. A completed Signature Project. Experience working with community partners. Preparation for employment, consulting, entrepreneurship, research, or continued education. A Global Movement The Voice Up Global Center for Leadership with AI Fellowship is more than an internship. It is the experiential learning engine of the School of Human Flourishing, preparing leaders who combine purpose, evidence, mentoring, collaboration, and responsible AI to solve meaningful problems. Through the Five Core Principles of Voice Up and the School's commitment to human flourishing, fellows become part of a worldwide community dedicated to strengthening individuals, organizations, and communities one conversation, one innovation, and one purpose-driven project at a time. A Finding, Ten States Wide That observation became a formal research question when Art Fuller entered a doctoral program at the University of Indianapolis, under an IRB-approved study protocol. The research took him into college classrooms across ten states, talking to African American students about their lives not their transcripts, not their majors, but the actual texture of what they had lived through. What he found, replicated with a consistency that should unsettle anyone who has ever sat on a university curriculum committee, was that the students already possessed, in their own biographies, exactly the caregiving, crisis, and recovery experience that a behavioral health career is built on. They had sat with a parent through addiction. They had held a household together during a hospitalization. They had done, unpaid and unnamed, the emotional labor that entire professions are organized around. And almost none of them had ever been told that this counted as anything.
