Senior Product Manager (Automation&Personalization Team)

What you’ll have to do:

  • Own the Account Health product area, taking full responsibility for the system that evaluates seller performance and determines suspension or deactivation outcomes across the eMAG marketplace;
  • Rethink and rebuild Account Health from its current state. You won't just maintain the existing system, you'll challenge its assumptions and redesign scoring logic, thresholds, and enforcement flows to match current business needs and seller behavior patterns;
  • Drive the full development cycle: write clear user stories, run daily standups, manage iteration planning and backlog grooming, and translate business and policy requirements into well-defined deliverables for a backend-heavy team;
  • Shape product decisions, not just execute them. You'll define how performance metrics are calculated, how risk tiers are structured, how suspension and reactivation logic works, and how the system evolves over time;
  • Balance seller experience with platform integrity. Every rule you design affects real sellers' livelihoods and customer trust in the marketplace, so decisions need to be fair, transparent, and defensible;
  • Coordinate cross-functional and cross-market alignment. Account Health touches Trust & Safety, Legal/Compliance, Commercial, Customer Support, and country teams (RO, BG, HU), each with different regulatory and business contexts;
  • Ensure Account Health logic is correctly and consistently implemented across seller-facing surfaces (notifications, appeals flow), covering scoring accuracy, edge cases, and audit trails;
  • Use data to drive decisions: analyze seller performance trends, false-positive and false-negative suspension rates, appeal outcomes, and business impact to continuously calibrate the system;
  • Anticipate and surface risks early. Changes to suspension logic can have legal, financial, and reputational consequences, so proactive communication with Legal and Compliance is critical, not optional.

What makes you a good fit:

Experience and Background:

  • Minimum 3 years of experience in a Product Manager or Product Owner role, ideally including ownership of trust & safety, risk, compliance, or marketplace-integrity products;
  • Proven track record of rebuilding or significantly re-architecting an existing product, not just building greenfield features. You know how to redesign a live, business-critical system without breaking it;
  • Experience working with rules-based or scoring systems (fraud, risk, compliance, quality scoring, or similar) is strongly preferred;
  • Solid grasp of the software development process end to end: sprint planning, stakeholder alignment, and translating ambiguous business and policy needs into clear, actionable user stories;
  • Experience navigating regulatory or compliance-adjacent product work (GDPR, marketplace regulations, or similar) is a plus, given exposure to NIS2, DORA, and GDPR requirements across RO, BG, HU;
  • Comfortable working on backend-oriented, data-heavy products. You don't need to write code, but you understand data pipelines, rule engines, and system trade-offs well enough to have a real conversation with engineers and data scientists;
  • Basic SQL knowledge is a plus: enough to pull data independently when you need it, without waiting for someone else.

Soft Skills and Communication:

  • Ability to make high-stakes decisions under ambiguity, knowing that suspension and deactivation rules directly affect sellers' businesses;
  • Strong stakeholder management. You can align Legal, Compliance, Commercial, and Engineering teams who often have competing priorities;
  • Clear, structured communication. You can explain policy trade-offs to both technical teams and senior non-technical stakeholders, including leadership;
  • Customer-first (seller-first) thinking, balanced with platform-integrity thinking. You weigh fairness to sellers against protection of the marketplace and end customers;
  • Proactivity and ownership. You drive a sensitive, high-visibility product area forward independently and take accountability for outcomes;
  • Comfortable operating with a high degree of autonomy in a dynamic, custom-built systems environment.
